Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 7 Bangalow Place in Kuranda. What we have here is quite simply a beautiful pole home, and we are set in just under one acre, it has income potential, and it is supremely private and resort-like. Let’s go in and have a look, you are going to fall in love with this property.

Welcome to this, as I said before, this gorgeous little pole home. Now, what makes this really special is the fact that, okay, we’ve come down the driveway, nice sealed driveway, into the main entrance area. As you can see, it is really big and it’s really spacious. So, orientation, we’ve got a little self-contained area over here which we will look at shortly. That’s got a bedroom, a living room, it’s got a kitchen, it’s got a laundry, and it’s got a bathroom. Then up to the main living space, we have that beautiful open plan living, two other bedrooms, one with, obviously, an ensuite, bathroom and a fabulous deck. Let’s go up the stairs and explore the main living area.

There really is something just magical about the feel of this property. You know when you just look at a place and you pop into it and you go, “I like the color, I like this, I like that.” This actually feels absolutely gorgeous, and one of the key things, of course, is wooden floor, we’ve got beautiful wooden cathedral ceilings and things like little pot-belly stoves in the middle of the living area just give it that real homely feel. Now, behind us, we’ve actually got or off to the side here, we’ve got the main living deck and we’ve got a kitchen and dining. Over here we have got the master bedroom with an en-suite, and then we’ve got the second bedroom and a toilet, but let’s go in and have a look at that kitchen.
Plenty of space. As I said, we’ve actually got enough space here for a really big table, there’s quite a lot of furniture in this space, so if you had big chunky bits, you know it’s going to fit. Of course, we have got really big functional kitchen, great big pantry behind us, room enough for a really big fridge, and this brilliant servery takes us out into that balcony. It really is just- it’s gorgeous.

This balcony is absolutely filled with breeze, it’s filled with light, and as you can see, the canopy is just amazing. We really are in the rainforest, it is a beautiful natural rainforest property. Of course, when you’ve got things like this on your balcony, little water features, lovely little Heliconius, gorgeous little bits of artwork, and of course we’re completely undercover where we come out the kitchen servery and the living area that you really do feel like you can be inside or you can be outside. This is amazing, check out that, orchid.

Let’s go in and have a look at the master bedroom and en-suite. It is a really functional romantic space, walk this way, and then we can have a look at how gorgeous that bed is. We’ve got the door as the actual French doors, balcony door is actually heading out there. Obviously, there’s a table there at the moment, but if you wanted to, you could wake it up the morning and just have that open and the rainforest, as I said before, just coming in. Now, one thing I did forget to mention is that all the louvers are screened, with the exception of just the door is under the balcony, the whole house is screened, so you don’t have to worry about little beasties coming in. You can have all that gorgeous air coming through at night. Now, let’s go this way, we have a walk through robe, and it takes us into here, which is a really big ensuite. The walkthrough robe is just really functional because you can come through, you jump in the shower, you brush your teeth, you do what you do, and you just go and you pick up your bits and bobs and through, and you’re ready for the day. It really is just a gorgeous luxury space.

Then we have our bathroom and bedroom. Have a look at that before we head downstairs.

Come on through. I mentioned about the potential for income in this particular property and hopefully now you can see why. We have the main door which as you come into the center, you go upstairs and, as I mentioned at the beginning, you can come in here, but there is also another door just off to the side. You could have rental, Airbnb or, of course, just family and friends stay here, but there is actually a separate entrance for a car to drive in there, for this door to be locked, and for entrance over the side. We’ve got a kitchen, we’ve got this fabulous space, beautiful big living space and, of course, gorgeous beautiful wooden poles. Of course, you’d expect that in your pole home. Again, we’ve got the doors going into the garden, we’ve got a bedroom over here and we have got a bathroom and a laundry there. Just have a feel and I just know that you are just going to fall in love with this part of the property.

Come on out into the garden. I mentioned we’ve got numerous sets of gorgeous looking French doors, but just have a look at this as a backdrop. It’s just glorious. Gorgeous little pebbles, we have got plants, everybody knows I love my plants, beautiful flowering bromeliads, and again, the fan palms in the garden are just stunning. They really are just– I’m going to use the word again, they’re stunning. Let’s go for a little bit of a wander around and you really will get a feel of how lovely and calm this rainforest property is.

We’re at the back of the house and we passed two doors, one was the one that we spoke about for when you park a car and it would take you directly into the living area. Then we’ve got the other door here which is the the laundry access as well if you wanted, again, to come in and out your laundry door, which you do. Behind us, we have got cute as this little garden shed. You could use it for storage, you could use it as a little– Well, I would personally use it as a little pottery studio, but you could do lead lighting in there, you could just enjoy it as is or really, again, you could use it for whatever you wanted to, but it really is just cute. Let’s have a quick look at the rest of the garden.
