Angela Martin: Hi. I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 6 Morong Street in Kuranda. The house that we’re about to look through today, I just know that you will never have seen a property like it. Why is that? Well, it is an originally-built house about a two-minute walk from Kuranda Village but it’s been stunningly, stunningly renovated to the point where you would find it in Home Beautiful magazine, Better Homes and Gardens magazine. It is just gorgeous. You’re going to absolutely love it to bits.
Now, upstairs we’ve got three bedrooms, we’ve got two bathrooms and a kitchen to die for, and I mean really to die for. Then, underneath we’ve got space for four cars. We’ve got another bathroom with a laundry. We’ve got a workshop area and we’re set on about a quarter acre and beautiful, beautiful gardens. Let’s go in and have a look. You are going to fall in love with this house. Recycled doors.

Angela: Isn’t this gorgeous? We have got recycled original windows. The ballustrading here and the view is just stunning. This would have been part of the original house, which is now just part of the organic, yummy-looking feel. We’re on the front balcony and you would not know that you were in the middle of the heart of the Kuranda Village. It is a beautiful view, you’re never going to be built out over there, it’s just gorgeous plants and trees and blue sky. Here, you’re sitting relaxing on your deck as you come up the stairs. Now, a little bit of orientation. We’re going to go into the main living area, and then we have open plan kitchen. Then off to your right-hand side, we’ve got a bathroom and the master bedroom. Then to the left-hand side, as you go in here, is got other doors. We’ve got another couple of bedrooms and a bathroom. Let’s go and have a look.

Angela: We’ve just come through the living area into what I mentioned at the beginning, one of the most stunning to-die-for kitchens. Is it huge? Well, it’s not huge, but it is beautiful beyond belief. You could easily get three or four to five to six or seven people around here when you were entertaining. Stainless steel? Six months old. Benchtop? Six months old. Well, actually it’s probably a hundred years old because it’s solid wood. The actual layout and the design, everything is almost brand new, literally about six months old.
We have a Smeg cooker. Anyone who’s into U-beaut cooking and entertaining know that these sorts of cookers are just glorious. We’ve got oven, brand-new, six months old and a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. The whole feel just works and it is just gorgeous. We’ve got a cafe bar just over here so when you want to have a cup of coffee. We’ve also got a walk-in ladder. Have a bit of a wondering you are just going to love this space when your family and friends around.

Angela: We’ve just come downstairs from that fantastic kitchen, and it has the doors that open up and do what feels like a little patio area into beautiful landscaped gardens. It is a quarter acre and it is fully fenced. We’ve got beautiful plants. We’ve got barn trees, we’ve got bananas, we’ve got plants that have little gorgeous cans when butterflies attracted to them. It really is a gorgeous oasis.
We’ve got a workshop area. We’ve got room here for four cars. There’s also another area here where you could actually make it into a little studio. It hasn’t been closed in but you could. The other toilet, shower, and our laundry so that if you’ve been out in the garden and your fancy using downstairs. You don’t do the upstairs it’s all there. Go and have a wander.
