Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin. Welcome to number 6, Ferntree Place in Kuranda. If you’ve dreamed about that one acre, beautiful bit of paradise, at the end of a no-through road, this is for you. We actually have services at the front of the property. We’ve got the electricity just there. We’ve got water just there ready for you to connect. Come on through and let’s go for a wander and have a look at this beautiful, beautiful part of the world. We’ve got a magic big walking entrance, you could make this your driveway. As you come in, we’ve just got these fantastic licuala palms.
Now, for anyone who is from overseas or interstate, and doesn’t know anything about the natural rain-forest, Queensland, and North Tropical Queensland is actually synonymous with these beautiful palms. They’re called licualas, and this property is absolutely just filled with them. They’re 20 feet tall. They’ve been here for, I don’t know if it’s hundreds and hundreds of years, but they’ve certainly been here for a long time. We’ll just go for a wander down here. We’ve got a beautiful little pad where you could build your house. It can be cleared more, but just turn in that way, have a look.

Angela: The licualas, as we said, are absolutely just beautiful. Now, just as an orientation for this property. We’ve come in, it would clearly be a main entrance with whatever you want to put on it, gravel, basalt, anything concrete. On this side of the property, we’re about 78 meters, and then we go along this side, your right-hand side, that’s about 74 meters, then across the back, a nice straight line, we’ve got about 85 meters. We’ve got undergrowth that can be cleared. We’ve got pandanus, you can see them over here. A little baby seasonal creek, you can have a look as we walk through the property, but have a look up here at these licualas, they’re just stunning.

Angela: We’ve got a little seasonal creek just down over the side. The creek runs along the right-hand side boundary. On and off the property, and of course, one thing I did forget to mention is that you got really good neighbors. You’ve got a shmicko beautiful big house up on this side, and you’ve got a gorgeous Queenslander on the other, so at least you get to know your neighbors before you move in. Let’s have a little look down there, you’ll love it.

Angela: We’re at the very back of the property. It’s about 85 meters long, as I mentioned before. It runs in a straight line, but hopefully what you can see is that there’s heaps and heaps and heaps of cleared space. We’ve got all these little leaves, little trees, they just sprout up because obviously, we’re in the rain-forest. Pandanus, this is just amazing, native pandanus. Apparently, the Asians use it in cooking, and you can actually crunch the center out and use it in the stir-fries. This place has got plenty of pandanus on it. An old tree that has been here for hundreds and hundreds of years. Again, plenty of space, you can clear, you can keep it, it’s just beautiful. The most beautiful one acre I’ve seen in a long time.

Angela: I really hope you have fully enjoyed having a look at this beautiful one-acre piece of land. It’s actually a fraction more than one acre, it’s a bit 4,100 square meters. Again, we have this gorgeous shape that actually extends out towards the back line, and it gives us that feeling of privacy, being in amongst the rain-forest. What do I love about it? The fact that we know who our neighbors are, beautiful houses either side. We’ve got access to our power and water at the very front of the property, so the actual cost of building would be reduced. We have the most amazing trees. The licualas, I know I keep going on about them, but they are beautiful. Little yummy things growing on the trees. We’re close to everything, but no through road. We are five minutes from Kuranda, and we’re only 15 minutes from the closest shopping center. It really is an amazing part of the world. I look forward to meeting with you. Angela Martin, give me a call, 0403-788-187 or visit the website, angelamartin.com.au. See you soon.
