Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to 54 Masons Road in Kuranda. We’ve got another beautiful sparkling day for you today. This property is going to impress you beyond belief. We’ve got beautiful elegant split-level house and we have four bedrooms and we have four bathrooms and it is set on the most stunning one and a half acres of tropical tropical gardens.
Just before we go in, there’s actually a couple of ways that you can get into the house. We’ve got a double garage underneath so car comes in and then you can go up the stairs. Then we’ve actually got the formal front entrance and then right to the side we’ve actually got another set of stairs that we can go up into the back balcony. Let’s go in and have a look at the formal entrance. You’re gonna fall in love with it.

This is the upstairs and as I said at the beginning, it is such a lifestyle, livable, elegant, gorgeous house. We’ve got main living area just a little bit of orientation, fantastic balcony overlooking the gardens and we’ve actually got a couple of kookaburras out there as we speak. Off to the side, we’ve got the master en suite with the biggest spa bath and the biggest en suite that you’ll have seen in like forever with a walk-in robe. Then over on this side, we’ve actually got another bedroom and a bathroom. Behind us, we’ve got our media room but walk this way, we have a really beautiful, beautiful kitchen.
We’ve got stone bench tops. We have got Italian Lofra cooker and it’s pretty much as new gas cooking, really lovely, and, of course, a Bosch dishwasher but one of the most amazing things is the late light windows and the views out to, at the moment kookaburras. I entered the balcony and now over onto the gardens. It really is just absolutely stunning.

One of the most amazing things that you’ll find in this beautiful part of the world’s tropical Far North Queensland and Kuranda is kookaburras. Can you believe that you’ve actually got something that special overlooking the lily pond in your backyard? Absolutely amazing.

Hopefully, you’re getting the scenes of how fantastic this property is and we’ve just come in the main living area out onto this balcony and you can see it is just– It’s fun living, it’s beautiful perfect lifestyle, and again we’ve got about three metres, it’s about 18 metres long and we have beautiful wooden doors.
We’ve got beveled glass and the stained glass windows around the place is just absolutely to die for. Almost every room up here comes off the balcony so the bedroom that you’ve just seen has an exit out onto the balcony just behind us. Then we’re just about to go into the master bedroom with that fantastic great big en suite which you would just can just relax at the end of the day. Then we’re going to go downstairs which has self-contained unit with another bedroom, living area, kitchen, and bathroom plus a laundry plus another bedroom plus another bathroom. I did say this house was for living so let’s go in and have a look at the bedroom. You’re going to fall in love with that too.

Isn’t this just the most amazing en suite you’ll ever have seen. We’ve got the corner shower there and I did say that we have got an absolutely beautiful luxurious spa bath. You can just imagine at the end of the day sitting relaxed, having a glass of wine, just get feet in bubbles. It is just the most fantastic luxurious feeling room. We’ve got a brand new beautiful vanity and I’m not sure if you can see but with the leadlight windows behind us, we can see the Jacaranda tree that is at the bottom of the drive and it is just spectacular.

We’re going to head downstairs and have a look at the almost like the second house. If we think about all the flexibility that it offers, you could have it as a granny flat. You could have friends and family stay. You could almost even rent it out as a separate self-contained modern studio. But just before we get up, look at all these beautiful beautiful vines. They just add such a stunning feel to the garden. Let’s go downstairs and have a look.

As we come downstairs, we have this other full-size beautifully tiled balcony that leads into the modern self-contained studio, Hopefully, you’re getting the sense of the fact that you could just be renting this place out or, as I said, somebody comes to visit, they have got their own little bit of paradise. Just around the corner there, we’ve got a couple of lovely new garden sheds great for potting up your herbs and doing any little plant things that you want. Come on through. I wasn’t kidding when I said that this really is a self-contained standalone bit of the property. We have got a completely functional kitchen almost bigger and more appointed than you would see in a lot of houses.
We’ve got a fridge, we’ve got our oven, and behind us we’ve actually got a bedroom and then we’ve got a separate bathroom again. Bay windows, it’s beautifully cool. We’ve got cupboard space, we’ve got fully tiled floors, and then when we’ve had a look in here, we can go out into the hallway where we’ve got another bathroom, bedroom, and a huge utility area.

The gardens are absolutely stunning, and the little steps here, which I think are absolutely cute and organic, lead up to the back balcony that we can go upstairs and also under the house, for this studio. Behind us, we have the most just glorious lily pond. It’s not very often that you see these in the garden. They are so relaxing, it is so pretty, and they just give a whole vibe and zen and charisma to any tropical garden. Just absolutely glorious.

As you can see, the gardens are absolutely amazing, and we’ve come down from the house, passed the lily pond, and we’ve just had a little bit of an explore through the back of the property, again, 1.5 acres of beautiful tropical gardens. We’ve got a couple of little garden sheds. Just off behind me there, we’ve actually got a rainwater tank. It’s about 10,000 liters, so you can use that for watering the garden or you can drink it, you can do whatever you want with it, but we do have timed water so it’s really not an issue. As we look up, we can see the stunning house. We’ve got the top balcony, that’s where the kookaburra were. They’ve obviously come in through the rain forest. We’re standing under a mango tree. We’ve got a Jacaranda tree just off to your side there, as we come down the driveway. It really is just a beautiful oasis.

It’s two-story, we have four bedrooms, and we have four bathrooms. The master, of course, have that brilliant big bubbly spa bath that you’re just going to absolutely love to bits. Gardens are supremely tropical. It’s energy-efficient. Most of the lights in the house are LEDs. We’ve got a self-contained studio underneath for family or friends, or even something you can rent out. We’ve got a water tank, 10,000 liter. We’ve got a couple of sheds.
