Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin. Welcome to 54 Barron Falls Road in Kuranda. This property is absolutely beautiful. It has been gorgeously created and built and designed for that ultimate lifestyle in the tropics. Hopefully, you can see we’re elevated for those gorgeous cool summer breezes. It’s approximately only 12 years old, and it is ultimately private, as you would expect on your land that is 3.7 glorious acres. Let’s go in and have a look. You’re going to fall in love with this property.
I know that we normally go up to the house first of all, but just whilst we’re here on the way up to the house, I just wanted for you to get a feel for how much space there actually is all on the flat, so 3.7 acres. We have got approximately 200 from road frontage to the back of the property. This is less than half. From the back of the house to here is approximately less than half the size of the property. You’ve got all that beautiful rainforest at the back, but the real brilliant thing is power and water, concrete. Family and friends with a RV are going to absolutely love being able to stay here.
Fabulous fire pit so we can watch those stars on a lovely clear winter’s night. Let’s go up to the house and let’s have a look.
We love concrete in the Wet Tropics. You’ll notice that when we came in, we’ve got that gorgeous seasonal creek concrete, and then lovely stone driveway, and then a even bigger concrete drive up to the main part of the house. Just a little bit of orientation: we have a self-contained flat which is currently used as Cozy Cottage Airbnb. We’ll have a look at that when we’ve had a look through the house. This is the main pavilion here. We’ve got gorgeous breezeways. We’ve got fabulous verandas. We have got the master pavilion there. Of course, we have the main house here. We’re just going to go in, look at the main area, look at the bedroom, and then the Airbnb.
Come on in. 12 years old, 12 years young, whichever way you look at it, the feel and the maintenance of this property has been impeccable. It’s fresh, it’s beautifully tiled. You’ve got gorgeous neutral colors everywhere. This is the main part of the house. Heart of the house as they say is the kitchen. These bench tops are literally months old. It really does feel like you have a brand new kitchen, original kitchen on the underside, brand new tops just for that yummy, oozy feel. Of course, it’s integrated with the living area. More importantly, which we will go and have a look at, is that whole barbecue area and that fantastic deck that is out the front, elevated, breezes, views, just gorgeous.
This side, we have got two bedrooms. Then on the other side of the hallway, we have the main bathroom, separate toilet, and laundry, so go have a quick look there, we’re going to go out to the balconies, we’re going to have a look at the master bedroom, and then we’re going to head over to Cozy Cottage.
Of course, this was the Barbie area that is just lifestyle. Look at the width of this, and of course, new as we mentioned before. The house has got flyscreens, and the main living area is also air-conditioned; not that you need it, because we’re just about to go under the balcony. Come around this way, and you’ll see that it is very, very breezy. I mentioned at the beginning about the cool summer breezes, and you maybe see my hair jiggling around in the breeze.
Look at the size of this. This is balcony or entertainment area number one, so easy to get food in and out, beautiful big Barbie bench. Again, it is tiled, so we have that seamless transition from indoor/outdoor. Of course, we’re all under cover, we have lights, and we have fans. Don’t you just love that color? I seriously love red. Well, it’s a sort of orangey red, but it’s still gorgeous. Lovely paved area around there, a garden out the back where you can hang up your washing.
Let’s go over into this tropical Balinese feeling deck. It’s huge, and hopefully, you can hear the sound of trickling water with the little water feature just behind us. This really is glorious. I shouldn’t sit down, but I will because it is just ultimately relaxing. You can just imagine, with the orientation, full moon sitting here, relaxing in the evening. It goes dark, you can see the stars, you can see the full moon. Again, hopefully, you can see that we have the breezes coming through, and of course, views out to those gorgeous tropical gardens. I’d better get up, and we’ll go along the breezeway and we’ll head into that master en suite.
As if that is not resort Bali tropical lifestyle living enough, ta-da, we have got the master wing. Beautiful big wooden doors. For privacy, we have got frosted glass. Check this out. I might put that fan off. Here we go. Gorgeous louvre windows, again, all fully screened. Sumptuous wooden floor. We’ve come from the wood and the tiles of the balcony into just a really organic, relaxed, comfortable space. Big enough for a really big bed. We have in here, huge en suite. See, you can feel the breeze. Can you see the breeze? That there is the walk-in robe. Let’s go and have a look at the en suite. I know I keep going on about this, but it is like being on holiday. Have a little sticky in there, have a look at the walk-in robe, and then we’re going to head out to Cozy Cottage.
Welcome to Cozy Cottage. We can call it a granny flat. We can call this a studio. We can call it a self-contained unit. We can call it whatever you would like to call it, but the current owners have it through Airbnb, which is a rental site and it is called Cozy Cottage. If you want to Google it, find out a little bit more, you absolutely can.
If you had someone paying money to be here, they are going to have the most relaxing time. We’ve got self-contained kitchen. We have got a glamorous bed and sleeping area, beautiful air conditioning for those who are not used to the hot tropics, especially in the summer. Again, we have got louvres with screens. Great place for hanging up our clothes. Go check out in there, it is a huge bathroom.
I love all those little dangly organic-y things. Four bay shed, can you believe that? Again, if you didn’t think that the property had enough to offer, we have got, again, concrete, concrete, concrete best friend in the tropics. Takes us up to a shed that is big enough for four cars. It also has water, just at the side, as you can see, and it has three-phase power. If you’re into tools or welding or any other sort of hobbies that take a little bit of extra oomph with the power, you’re all set to go.
If we just turn around this way, can you see me? I mentioned way at the beginning – beautiful sunny day – that we have glorious rain forest at the back of the property. We have probably more than, give or take, 100 meters into the forest. It is just glorious. You’re going to get butterflies, you’re going to get birds. We’ve got tropical bamboos, and of course, probably little gorgeous walkways all for you to explore. We’ll have a quick look down at the house, and then we’re going to do a wrap-up.
I really hope you’ve enjoyed this tour of 54 Barron Falls Road. The question is, why should you buy this property? Well, if you’ve just watched the video, and you’ve looked at the pictures, and you’ve listened to anything that I’ve had to say, you will really, really, really get a sense that this is phenomenal value for money. Without the million-dollar price tag, you have sensational tropical living, 3.7 acres, pavilion style house, gorgeous, modern, only 12 years old, and of course, the gardens here are just stunning.
We’ve got space there for that RV that we spoke about at the beginning, so if somebody wants to plank great big caravan. We’ve got power, we’ve got water, and Cozy Cottage, how fabulous is that? Currently on Airbnb website, so you can Google it to find out a little bit more. I just had a thought, the master bedroom, if you were happy to live in the main house and just enjoy that gorgeous balcony with moon rises and star views, you could rent that out as well. Of course, four bay shed with three-phase power, seasonal creek, oh my goodness, the list just goes on. Brilliant location, walk to Barron Falls in five minutes into Kuranda village. Give me a call, Angela Martin, 0403-788-187. Really looking forward to showing you through your new home.
