Angela Martin: Hi. I’m Angela Martin. Welcome to number five Bangalow place in Kuranda. This property is an absolute treasure and there’s probably 10 or 15 or 20 different reasons why I think you’re going to fall in love with it. The key though is that the people who actually built this house still own it which means for you it has been immaculately presented and of course beautifully looked after. There are lots and lots and lots of little surprises in there and you’re just going to fall in love. Let’s go and have a look.

Let’s chat about the special surprises and this kitchen you would have to admit is absolutely stunning. It’s actually brand new. It was finished the whole extension which includes the kitchen and the back deck area was finished just in December last year. When I say new, I mean new and of course, we have got all the modern features. Smeg microwave oven absolutely top of the range and gorgeous. We have got again as new cooktop, gas and electric oven and of course, we’ve actually got a range hood here as well which is also Smeg and unlike a lot of places, this actually vents all the way up through to the roof. If you’re doing any heavy duty cooking, you’re not going to get any smells inside here. No handles so beautiful and easy for cleaning and soft-close drawers. Of course, we cannot underestimate how gorgeous this stone bench top is. It doubles as obviously a prep area and dining table. It is just absolutely glorious. We’ve got the garden outside and we’ve got a swimming pool which of course you can see through the window whilst you are washing up your dishes. Not that you have to because we’ve got a dishwasher.

Welcome to the master wing and oh, my goodness is this a closet? This has also been beautifully renovated. I think you would have to agree that this is absolute luxury for anyone who has got any amount of clothes, any amount of hanging up space but you just have that feeling of space. Get out of bed, have your shower and again, it’s lifestyle luxury. It’s little things like concealed doors so they’re not taking up heaps and heaps of space. Then, of course, we’ve got the actual sleeping area off the wing. This is just glorious again we can see a little bit more detail the walk-in robe just here. But this is real genius, the master retreat or parents retreat. We’ve got views out onto the garden we’ve actually can go straight into the swimming pool from here. This side of the house really is it’s indulgent, it’s comfortable, it’s got TV ports in this room also and in the other room to the other bedroom but it’s just relaxation. Speaking of relaxation, let’s go back out onto the deck. Let’s have a look at the swimming pool and explore the gardens.

Back onto this marvelous deck and I mentioned that the parents retreat actually comes out onto the pool. You can see if we actually just do a little turn around here you’ll actually get to see the gorgeous new extension. This was the kitchen window and of course the entertainment deck and we’ve got lovely stone steps that go down into again glorious gardens. But let’s just have a quick look at the swimming pool. Whoops in we go. Behind us, we’ve actually got the entrance out from the parent’s retreat. This pool doesn’t look huge but it is actually really deep. You can jump in there and be quite comfortable in the summer that you’re going to have beautiful cool water. It’s just glorious and again lovely, relaxing lifestyle part of the world and of course still 100% private. We’ve got a beautiful little waterfall too.

Again one of the other magical treasures is a garage that you can actually fit four cars into. You can just imagine four cars, you can chop it into little bits and do two cars or a work shed. It can be a gym, it could be whatever you want it to be but it is big and of course, you just come up the driveway and you’re straight in and you’ve got those gorgeous little steps going from the garage into the house. We’ve actually got two side doors as well which makes it easy to get in and out off but beautiful [unintelligible 00:10:06] shed.
