Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 460 Oak Forest Road in Kuranda. As you can see, we have the most amazing and I mean stunningly amazing rainforest backdrop and of course, against the beautiful sparkly blue sky, it just feels absolutely stunning and it’s all on 2.3 glorious acres. The house, love the house. It has on the outside a sort of modern contemporary feel, a cosmopolitan feel but on the inside, it’s a combination of old and new. A fabulous little balcony at the back overlooking the rainforest and yummy wooden floors, gorgeous wooden posts, a tiled veranda. You’re going to fall in love with this property. Let’s go and have a look.

Angela: Doesn’t this feel yummy? We have got rendered cream-colored walls which gives it, as I said, a sort of Mediterranean-y cosmopolitan feel, a fantastic great big kitchen area, dining. Come on this way. This kitchen is so big. It’s completely functional. We’ve got views out to the rainforest. Of course, we have the most amazing opening wooden windows that all over the house. We’ve got a brand new stove, a stainless steel electric stove and behind us, we have got a gorgeous little balcony.
Let’s go out and have a look at the balcony. Come on into this gorgeous little balcony. Doesn’t this feel amazing? It’s quiet, it’s peaceful, it’s 1,000% private and you are in your own little oasis with gorgeous bananas from the garden. You could just imagine sitting here with your family and your friends, relaxing and overlooking the garden and the rainforest. It really doesn’t get much better than that.

Angela: Hopefully, you’re getting the sense of this fantastic lifestyle property. We have got amazingly high ceilings and if you have a look at all the wooden beams it just gives that feeling of warmth and rustic. As I said the windows, they let in plenty of light and they all open up so you get some mountains and mountains of breeze which is fabulous. We’ve got the main living area here which has got complete tiles on it. We’ve just been out into the balcony and you had a look at the kitchen. Over this side with all the wooden floors, three bedrooms and a bathroom and of course, another little second living area or a little study nook, but this bathroom is fabulous. Let’s come in and have a quick look.
You can imagine sitting there doing your homework, doing any of your office work and you have got again those great views out to the steps and the stone walls in the gardens. The bathroom is really big. Again, we’ve got that sense of space because we got really high ceilings. We’ve got a little laundry area here with the utility and cupboards. Organic, gorgeous. Organic, gorgeous and we’ve got a shower bath and a toilet is just behind us. It really is like showering and being in the rainforest. Again, it’s 100% private. There are blinds on here, but you really don’t need them. Then, off to our sides, we’ve got our three bedrooms. Go and have a look.

Angela: We’re going to walk out into the garden now and one of the things that we’ll notice just up on the side is that we’ve got a double lock up garage. You can put heaps and heaps of stuff in there. It’s really close to the house so you can put a lean-to on it if you want to extra carport space. You could use it for storage. You could use for it for a nap room. You could pretty much use it for anything you like, but as you can see it’s got access door and it, is as I said, really close to the house. When you live in the wet tropics, it really does make a big difference. Let’s go turn into the garden, couple of little yummies down there that I’d just love to show you.

Angela: I did mention at the beginning that we have the most amazing rainforest backdrop imaginable. It’s stunning. You can never be amazed at how nature actually creates something so fabulous and of course, as I said, we’ve got a beautiful sparkly sky. The garden, you’ve got plenty of space for children, if you’ve got animals, if you’ve got a pony, if you’ve got goats, if you want to grow veggies. As you can see, we get plenty of sun in this back area which just makes it perfect even for growing fruit trees.
I just notice over here we’ve actually got what I think used to be a spa bath, but it’s just created the most magical little pond. Now, you could probably just take all the plants out, fill it with water, enjoy having a beer or a glass of wine, but I think it looks pretty cute just the way it is. We’ve got a couple of chook pens down here on this side of the property. If you want to put in again little birds, use it as an ivory or have chickens just so you got all those yummy, fresh eggs in the morning. It’s just limited by your imagination. It’s fantastic.

Angela: I really hope you’ve enjoyed this fantastic tour of number 460 Oak Forest Road in Kuranda. One thing we didn’t look at when we were on the balcony before and I will do a little recap in just about two seconds, I kept mentioning about these windows but you can imagine a great, big, entertaining kitchen, a family dining area there straight out onto this beautiful, shady and cool balcony which is just fantastic. It’s about 35 degrees today and you really do get the sense that it’s in a little oasis.
Recap. We’ve got 2.3 acres of again, a beautiful rainforest. We have an organic but contemporary feel of a house. We’ve got wooden floorboards. We’ve got fantastic wooden rafters on the ceiling. We’ve got an air conditioner for the master bedroom. We’ve got robes and each of rooms. We have just organic, lovely feel and the location is fantastic. It’s peace, it’s quiet, it’s tranquil and all we can hear is the birds and the cicadas. Give me a call, Angela Martin, 0403 788 187. Or visit the website angelamartin.com.au.
