Angela: Hi. I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 33 Douglas Track in Speewah. The first thing that you are going to feel when you walk into this lifestyle property, your new lifestyle property, is that it is such an easy place to live. And even though we are on 2.6 acres with a seasonal creek down the back, the gardens around about the house are super-duper low maintenance, but the brilliant thing about this property is that cute little cottage has been completely refurbished so all the hard work is done. Let’s go in and have a look and fall in love with this whole beautiful lifestyle property.

You’ll notice brilliant fencing for animals or for dogs or for little children around the perimeter of the house. I have to say, before we even go into the inside, this is all about outdoor living. We have got the most beautiful blue sky, natural gorgeous rain forest down the back and the addition to this house as part of the refurbishment is about 100 square meters of concrete and under-cover balcony or veranda, but the house, come on in. Look at these trees. Look at these trees, they’re beautiful. They are called, I think, Grevillea. Birds, butterflies, all the little natives. We just fall in love with this, and of course, this is straight into the house. Easy living as I say. If you Google “Logan Home” it’s what I call a bulletproof house. They were made in the ’80s or they were built in the ’80s and they were built strong and they were all steel framed. As part of the refurbishment, we’ve actually had a complete repaint, we’ve had a complete replumb. As I said, roughly 100 square meters of balcony this side along that side and then workshop area at the back just means that you can be out here and you can be relaxing on even the hottest of summer days. Let’s go in and have a quick look on the inside.

Excuse me. We mentioned bulletproof. All steel posts, all steel frame, concrete floor. Again, that sense of easy living means you just don’t have to do any maintenance. Well, you might have to a little bit, but not very much at all. As part of the refurbishment, we’ve had a repaint and we’ve have a replumb. We’ve got a new kitchen. You can have a bit of quick look there. All the windows look out to the garden and it’s completely private. I don’t know if you can hear the little birds there but it is really quite calm actually.
Then we come through here and we’ve got a bedroom which has been used as an office. Have a little look in here. We have another big room here, and again, we are looking out– That’s for orientation. This is the front balcony and we can see the actual dog fence all the way around. Built in robes, we’ve got fans, and fabulous functional open area here for the laundry. Again, we’ve got plenty of cupboard space, and then just here, we’ve got the toilet and the bathroom. Go and have a quick look.

It’s cute and it’s compact and it is an absolute blank canvas. You could clearly add on to it; paint it green, paint it pink, paint it blue. You really could just add to whatever character you want to onto this gorgeous little cottage. When we talk about cottages, we love the garden and the maintenance. I seriously mean this. When we spoke at the beginning, this is all flat usable land so you can push-mow or you can jump on a little ride-on mower and it’s not going to take you very long at all, but roses. In the wet tropics, finding roses is almost impossible. Speewah has a slightly drier climate and it’s absolute a joy to see them.
We’ve got veggies, we’ve got chook pens, and we’re just going to head up through the side gate here into the– Got a little baby carport and again, we’ll notice– They’re nice. Good old spider lilies. Pumpkins. I’m sure there must be a pumpkin on here somewhere. The whole property is, like we said, it’s about outside. It’s about outdoor living. We’ve got chicken so if you’ve got children or if you are retired or if you just want to live here on your own, you could certainly have little pets, fresh eggs, but I’m sure I’ve seen a pumpkin somewhere. Here we go.
Voila. You can grow clearly– Can you see that? Fabulous pumpkins and we’ve got some other ones in flower. We’ve got turmeric and all these little tomatoes and vines and chilies. The current owner clearly loves chilies. All under shade cloth so they are protected from the rain and all the little wallabies that just love to share food. Just take it in. We’ve got a rain forest down here, and this is where we actually start to fall off as in, not literally fall off, but this is the usable part of the property, and we’ve got the seasonal creek right in the very back. Just pop down there, have a little bit of a peek. We’re not going to go too far and then we’re going to do a wrap up.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this little baby film of 33 Douglas Track in Speewah. Why would you buy this gorgeous little property? Well, as I mentioned, this is all about the outside sort of an outdoor living. Apart from the fact that this is a cute little cottage with heaps of potential, but it does have a new bathroom, it’s got a new kitchen, it’s been repainted, it’s been replumbed, we’ve got a new 10,000 liter water tank, and of course, we have got that seasonal creek down the back. Best of both worlds, beautiful natural rain forest, and plenty, plenty of open space, and of course, gorgeous, gorgeous trees.
Location is brilliant. You can walk to the Speewah tavern. A nice easy walk for Sunday lunch, or if you have children, they can jump in the swimming pool, but whether you’re downsizing or whether you’re looking to just get out of that rental market, this is an absolutely brilliant, brilliant proposition. Great little value for money property so give me a call. Angela Martin. 0403-788-187. Visit the website angelamartin.tv. That was my website. I look forward to meeting with you.
