Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin. Welcome to number 30 Enigma Close in Speewah. Everyone loves the charm and the romance of a Queenslander, especially in the hot tropics. All those breezes, we’ve got elevation. This particular property underwent a fantastic extension and renovation in 2016. Let’s go upstairs and explore.
[music]
Angela: Come on in. We’ve just come up those beautiful big stairs, gorgeous balustrading and of course, into a Queenslander style deck. One of the first things you’ll notice, and those who have seen my videos, know that I just love the whole organic feel of the poles in other Queenslanders or pole homes. Now, we’ve got big decks, a little bit of orientation. We’ve got four bedrooms and we’ve got three bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is actually underneath. We’re on five glorious acres fenced on all three sides.
We’ve come up as I said, we’re on beautiful balcony. Come on in. This brings us into the living area that has been extended on to the original house. As I mentioned at the beginning, it’s was finished in 2016, so it is new. We’ve got beautiful Cypress floors. Again, look at this. To die for living area. This now becomes the main living space. We’ve got an office or a bedroom off to the side. We have got a brilliant lifestyle deck just behind me. Then we’ve got the kitchen and then down the hallway, we have got bedrooms and main bathroom and of course, the master’s has the ensuite. Let’s have a look at the kitchen and then we’ll be done and have a look at the bedrooms.
[music]
Angela: The kitchen is really big and it’s really functional. What I love about it is the fact that we have got access to really big dining area. As you see when we came in, the main living area and of course that lifestyle deck. Now, the kitchen is original, but it is absolutely huge. Come on through. We can actually see out the window again onto the front deck and we have got more cupboards and pantry space than we can actually probably use. As I said, heaps and heaps of cupboard space. Then we’ve got a sliding door onto the other side of the balcony. Again, very, very functional. Superly flexible and just absolutely to die for.
[music]
Angela: Wasn’t that kitchen fantastic? Let’s head down to the sleeping end of the house. The bedrooms, well, first of all, the place is air-conditioned, which is wonderful. Three out of four bedrooms actually have their own little balconies and two of them on this side, over look the pool. The pool has about 70,000 liters. We’ll look at that in a minute, and it’s just stunning. Let’s come this way and we’ll do a little bit of orientation. We have little kids bedroom in here. Again, storage space absolutely wonderful and absolute must in the Queenslander.
We have bedroom number two and this is the one that has the wonderful view of the pool. We have really big bathroom, as in like really big bathroom. This is the master with an ensuite. You can have a look at that and just to tick. This is one of the other bedrooms, which has, again, little balcony overlooking the pool, just perfect for guests staying. They really would feel like they were in an apartment in a resort. Let’s go have a look at the other bedrooms and a little bit more detail.
[music]
Angela: Let’s go out. I mentioned that some three of the bedrooms actually have- sorry, two of the bedrooms have actually got little balconies on them. I said three before. It’s actually two and this, as I said, is just like a resort. I know that you can look out before, but actually being out here on this wonderful little deck, overlooking the pool. Overlooking the actual lifestyle balcony is just, just stunning.
[music]
Angela: Please don’t forget to check out this bathroom. There are so many bathrooms, little tiny bathrooms. This one is super-sized and you would have seen with the ensuite as well. It is way bigger than your average and plenty of stretch room from just jumping out the shower and stuff. Go and have a look.
[music]
Angela: I mentioned about air conditioning, that’s one of the biggest conditioning units just up on the wall where we have the dining area. Come and check out this back lifestyle that overlooks the pool. It really is [clears throat] excuse me, to die for. We have got one, two- that’s about three wide and we have got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, it’s about 10 meters long. Of course, we have just got this really comfy chairs. What I love again, just starting to the organic feel as part of the extension, is we have galvanized iron in what looks like a really beautiful cosmopolitan color, and it blends with the rosewood doors.
They’re fully fly screened, I’m going to show you that in just a minute, but before I do, check out the view of the pool. We’ll be dining there. We will put a little feet in there. Not a feet actually, a little dip of a hand. All of the gardens that we see up there is completely private. You really can just imagine enjoying every single part living in this wonderful, wonderful property.
[music]
Angela: Still on this wonderful lifestyle balcony. We didn’t quite get to the doors yet. We have got 5.7 KVA solar. Now, that is, the panels there that you can see on the roof. We have also got solar extraction fans on the roof too. Now, as opposed to the little whirly gigs that you normally get, they are solar driven, so the power bills again on this property are going to be almost minimal if not zero, again, depending on how large the family and how much power you actually use. Let’s go and have a look at those doors.
I have to show you these doors. They’re absolutely amazing. Beautiful, easy to slide, absolutely stunning and as I said, they’re rosewood. I’m not sure if you did notice actually when we came in the entrance door, we’ve actually got two also really beautiful big rosewood doors with glass in them. This is wonderful. A lot of people don’t like bifold doors because they’re not screened. This one clicks all the way in and it retracts. Beautifully all the way in. You can sit here at night and you can enjoy your dinner. You don’t have to worry about those little bugs that do come in. Before we head downstairs, let’s have a look at the office. Again, this could also be used as an extra bedroom. Again, part of the wonderful renovation. Let’s go have a look.
[music]
Angela: More lovely sliding doors and, of course, with the obscured glass if you want some privacy.
[music]
Angela: Welcome to the downstairs or the ground floor of keep going on about it, but it is such a romantic and charming Queenslander. Now, the fact that we’ve got a height in the renovation and I know that you can’t feel the breezes when we’re upstairs, but I can’t get over enough how just how airy, how bright, how lovely, and open the whole property feels. Now, downstairs, we’ve got the same size all over again. We have got a super-sized bathroom, we have got a laundry, we have got all the air conditioning units that you seem to move it upstairs.
Then, of course, in the background, we’ve got the swimming pool, room enough for a huge great big table, and we’ve also got a garden shed. You can just imagine all the wonderful things that you could do under here limited by your imagination, of course. Let’s have a bit of a look and then we’ll head outside.
[music]
Angela: Then we have the swimming pool. Again, we’ve just had a big yummy, yummy lunch on that great big table in the shade underneath the house or of course, upper lifestyle deck. We do have the stairs that come in from the back straight into what is approximately about 70,000-liter pool. It is glorious. We’ve got plenty of space here just for actually well, just for sitting on. It might just be all too much just to be relaxing at this point, but the pool as I said, is absolutely it’s beautiful.
You could just imagine yourself and those lovely warm Kuranda summer days. Then just jumping in and out and then, of course, kids could be underneath the house. You could be sitting up on your lifestyle deck just relaxing and enjoying.
[music]
Angela: Look at the size of this fantastic area at the back of the house. Just imagine the kids playing football, cricket, pretty much anything you want to do with a ball sport or horses or animals or again, just enjoy the privacy, but look at this, it’s stunning.
[music]
Angela: Whilst we’ve got that great big open paddock at the back, look at this for a gorgeous little secret garden. It’s just beautiful.
[music]
Angela: At the end of that lovely little secret walkway, we’ve actually got another great big long section, which is along the left-hand side of the property, as we come in and you see the house just behind me. It’s like a little orchard we have got fruit dripping off pretty much all of the trays, this I think is like a lemon or a lime tree, absolutely beautiful to smell. We’ve got other fruit trees, as I said, all the way up like a little mini orchard. Of course, where we would be without tropical palm?
[music]
Angela: I really hope you’ve enjoyed this wonderful tour of number 30 Enigma Close in Speewah. Again, please just bear with me, I do want to do a little bit of a recap. The sun is shining, we’ve got palm trees, we’ve got a pawpaw tree and we have the most amazing approximately 70-liter swimming pool that I would just love to jump into. It is saying, “Jump into me, Angela, jump into me.” It really is truly inviting. The renovation and the extension as I mentioned before was finished in about 2016. Upstairs, we have got the four bedrooms and the two bathrooms plus the office, which if you wanted to, could actually be a fifth bedroom. Of course, downstairs we have all that big open living space including the laundry plus an extra bathroom.
Five acres, you’ve seen the size of the park. I’ve actually call it a park because it looks like a park, it’s got magnificent big rainforest trees all the way around it, which makes it feel really, really private. Now, we’ve got our solar power up on the roof, we’ve got a little balconies off two of the main bedrooms. We also have NBN and really good mobile coverage. If you are looking to work from home, that is a fantastic advantage. We’ve got air conditioning, we’ve got solar little whirly gigs with at the end of an or through close, five stunning acres and again, the list just goes on and on.
