Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin. Welcome to a super duper special property today at number 279 Myola Road in Kuranda. We talked about position, position, position. Well, this is got it all. We’ll come back to that in a minute. We’ve got an original three-bedroom house. It has been beautifully, beautifully maintained, but one of the key special things about this property is the fact that it is on two magnificent acres.
Two acres, one of which, if you wanted to, could actually be chopped off, it has subdivision approval. Let’s have a bit of warm up. As we come along here, we’ve got one acre that can be chopped off or just lived in whatever you want. We’ve got a beautiful garden just over this side. Let’s start off at the house. I just know you’re going to love it.

Angela: One of the fantastic things of this style of property is, of course, it’s low maintenance because it’s brick, it’s concrete. We do have an original kitchen that is 100% functional. We’ve got breeze right through here. Of course, you can open up doors, so if it’s breezy absolutely beautiful. Let’s walk this way. We are in a little living area and through here, we’ve got three really magic size bedrooms, but you’re going to love this. Let’s walk around the side here. We have the biggest utility space you’ve seen in a long time.
Walk this way, so we’ve got bedroom one, two, three. You can have a look at that in a minute. We’ve got bathroom and toilet just off to the side. We’ve just done a little loop around into this magic utility area. You could cordon this off. You could make it an office nook. You could put wall to wall cupboards in it and it takes us straight into the garden and back through onto the carport. The other thing is we have actually got an outside toilet so that when you’ve been in the garden and you don’t want to come inside, it’s all there for your convenience. Let’s have a wander right through here back into the bedrooms.

Angela: Come on into the bathroom. I mentioned at the beginning that everything that I love about this property is the fact that it’s really original. You can see we’ve got original blue tiles. We’ve got stainless steel handle just to help us in and out of the shower. We’ve got heaps and heaps and heaps and of space, so you can just splash around until your hands content. We’ve got this really lovely all traditional style blue tiles that I just absolutely love.

Angela: The lovely little entrance porch here as I mentioned at the beginning has these fabulous breezeways. You can sit here on the hottest of hottest days and open this right out. All the windows have got fly screens on them, so you don’t have to worry about beasties, or mozzies, or anything like that. With this already, you can just feel these breezes absolutely fantastic. Let’s go out into the garden and I’m going to show you some more.

Angela: We mentioned about the subdivision approval that has gone through into two one-acre properties. We have the original main house, beautiful gardens. We’ll go for one that in a little minute. This section here would actually be one acre, slightly elevated, completely flat, and we’ve got again the south-east breezes. The jewel is the fact that we have water rights down into Warril Creek. It actually goes through an easement for the next-door neighbor’s property. Let’s just imagine this could be a commercial nursery. You could build a house. You could build a granny flat. You could run it as a commercial operation not ever having to ever worry about running out of water.
As I said, you could keep it as is. You could chop it off, you could just sell the land on its own, but it does have that income potential. Or tucking it away for when you get older and you just want one beautiful acre. We’ve got fencing. We’ve got fruit trees. We’ve got irrigation. It’s just the perfect spot. Let’s go look at the shade house.

Angela: Hopefully, you are enjoying this magnificent garden. If you’re a mad gardener or you just appreciate the garden, you will just love this shade house. It’s got a concrete floor and it’s with 3 meters wide by with 23 meters long. You’ve got heaps and heaps of opportunity. Come this way. Fantastic opportunity to actually germinate all your plants. You’ve got beautiful cycads as we pass. We’ve got pineapple in there. We’ve got little irrigation system and song of India, which is so beautiful, so tropical. Come on through here and you will see just what a wonderland it is. These plants don’t come with the property, but it would give you an eye, a really brilliant idea as to what you can do in here.
We’ve got a little two section up the end. Then if you just turn your eyes background, that way, you can actually see that you’ve got access through from both ends and you can do with it whatever you want.

Angela: When you spend a good half a day or even a full day in that gorgeous little spot there, we’ve got the equivalent of the two bay sheds in the bottom of the garden. It has got power and you can use it for toys, pottery, an art studio, the mind just is whatever you want it to be. Go have a look.

Angela: The garden never ceases to amaze, these are the most beautiful orchids. They’ve just come out over the last few days, but I’ve just seen before the most amazing sight, curlews. Now, there have been curlews on this property for the last 25 years, they’re a mating pair. I seen them in here before, they’re probably a little bit shy of strangers so they’ve probably disappeared, but they were just there a minute ago. It’s absolutely precious.
If you have a look up here, we’ve got elk horns, we’ve got stag horns, and we have just got beautiful bromeliads. It is just the most amazing place that you could just go sit, relax, read a book, and maybe you can fall asleep.

Angela: I really hope you have really enjoyed this fantastic tour of number 279 Myola Road. Let me just recap. It is just the most amazingly stunning property. We’re standing here and again I’m looking through into anthuriums, I’ve got cardboard plants. I mean, look at these bromeliads, they’re just dripping off the trees. It’s just beautiful, but anyway, back on track. We’ve got two acres, one of which can actually be subdivided. The approval is there, so you have all those options that we spoke about.
The location is fantastic. We have a walking distance to school if you’ve got children. We have walking distance to the aquatic center, where they’ve actually got two swimming pools. It just doesn’t get much better than that. We’ve got an immaculately maintained home, we’ve got a gardeners paradise. We have Warril Creek that we have the rights to pump the water from. I would like you to Google Myola frog and Myola palm. They are two very endangered species that we have the privilege to have in close proximity to this property.
We’ve also got a shed with access to three-phase power. We’ve got these beautiful little mating birds, curlews, they’re about to have a little baby anytime soon. The list goes on. Give me a call, Angela Martin, 0403-788-187, or visit the website angelamartin.com.au. You are going to love this property.
