Angela: Hi. I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 2413 Kennedy Highway in Koah. I am going to cut straight to the juicy bits, straight to the chase. This property is all about the house and the views, 100% magnificent, magnificent views and, of course, the privacy, and the position, and the lifestyle go hand in hand with that house and those views. We’re on a hundred and thirty-five acres. Imagine the privacy. Let’s go in and have a look. We’re going to go straight to the views.
[music]
You seriously are going to fall in love with this whole property. Now, I’m going to go on at great lengths about the views because it’s breathtaking. We’re standing here in what I would consider to be a feel, I know I’ve gone over feel, of a really old, grand Queenslander. It’s got wraparound verandas. Upstairs, we’ve got four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs, we’ve actually got a self-contained apartment, one bedroom apartment. All the rooms go out onto this wraparound balcony which is just- the breeze is brilliant.
The views, probably that’s a fourth, fifth time now and there’ll be, I bet another five by the time we finish this video. You really feel like you’re on top of a hill even though you’re not. Then over this side, we have got a lifestyle swimming pool which we’ll go down and we’ll have a look, but let’s go through, have a look at the house. You’re just going to seriously appreciate and fall in love with every single bit of it.
[music]
Grand, old Queenslander but without the maintenance that you would expect. We’ve got steel posts and concrete block underneath which has got that self-contained, that one bedroom apartment. The actual weatherboard is not actually wood, it is fibre cement siding. Don’t go, “We’ve got maintenance with a beautiful Queenslander.” We have very low maintenance with this particular house. Add to its character, beautiful wood, great drawers, and the kitchen is fabulous. You know my fascination with kitchens.
It is really really big. Every window looks out onto either the garden or especially this side of the house, looks down over to the swimming pool and the entertaining area and, of course, that brilliant view. Now, let’s go for a little walk. One of the first things you’ll notice is the high ceilings. They really are high and it gives that sense of space and just airy breeziness. Don’t forget a little potbelly stove for those chilly nights.
Then down the hallway, we have got two bedrooms off to this side. The masters along the end with the en-suite. Then, on the right-hand side, we’ve got another two bedrooms and the bathroom, old style, luxury feel bathroom. Go have a look.
[music]
Come with me. Again, I know I’ve just spoken about this but a little bit of orientation, but we have a really big size room in here. Again, the doors go onto the balcony. We have got bathroom and toilet which you can go in have a look at in a minute. Another gorgeous bedroom with a fabulous view. Cupboards galore, there’s plenty of cupboard space in this whole property. Another bedroom here that goes out, again, onto balcony and windows.
This is the master which has fabulous en-suite with shower and toilet and built-in robes. You could just imagine wakening up– We shouldn’t sit on the bed but it’s comfy. Waking up in the morning and looking at that view. It just would make you want to bounce out of bed in the morning.
[music]
It’s all about the breezes too. We’ve got the brilliant hallway. I keep going on about this but we’ve got the windows and the doors that keep going out onto the balconies. You get that fantastic cross breeze and, of course, this is just another beautiful little sitting area, depending on what time of the day, whether you want sun, whether you want shade. Let’s go down and have a look at that one bedroom apartment.
Another cool area is under the house. We’ve come down. There’s two sets of stairs, the one that we went up at the beginning and then there’s another set just to the side of the house, on the far side of the balcony. You can comfortably get, apart from this massive shed that we’re going to have a look at, six cars easily under here. There’s just no issue with that, with parking. Let’s come and have a look at this brilliant, one-bedroom apartment.
Now, family, friends renting, it is big and it is spacious. Brand new kitchen, doesn’t have a cooktop but you could easily put a little cooktop just here. You’ve got your sink and your water, gorgeous little living area, looks out onto the pool and the entertaining pool area, and, of course, again, back out onto the gardens, built-in robes. Through here, we’ve got a one-bedroom apartment and a little en-suite. Go have a quick look and I’ll meet you out at the pool.
[music]
Unbelievably brilliant, this part of the property. Now, this pool I think looks fabulous. It looks inviting. It is so easy just to jump in. You can see we’ve got a bit of shade so when it’s really hot in the summer, you’re not going to get burned because I can guarantee you’re going to spend an awful lot of time in here. To add to that, we’ve got a pizza oven and we have got this brilliant shaded area again with the view. I know I’ve gone about feel but this really feels luxurious. and, of course, you could if you wanted to, get just stuff from the kitchen and a little pulley system down into the pool. It really is just brilliant.
[music]
Just to put a bit of the size and the perspective of the property into numbers if you like, we have got almost a kilometre up the side boundary and almost about half a kilometre up the back. Now, we spoke about views, way at the very top of the property, you can actually see on the other side glimpses of the ocean. Now, it takes a little bit of four-wheel driving to get up there but there is a pretty flat pad and you can get up there and, as I said, you have got uninterrupted views of what this looks like plus a little bit of ocean.
Now, down over here, we didn’t mention this upstairs, we have got a really big dam. We’ve got two dams on the property. The one down there is about 80 x 40 meters so it’s absolutely huge. It’s got barra and black bream fish in there. The one at the top is roughly 30 x 30 but that is the one that you would use. That is the one that you would go and sit by. Another flat paddock down there, bit of grass around here. For the gardeners, there’s just enough to keep you interested but for those who just want a low maintenance retreat, you’ve got all this beautiful bushland. Let’s go up and have a look at the shed.
[music]
The chook pen, well, I keep calling them chook, but they’re actually chicken coops, just fenced for the chickens. You get plenty of eggs because they’re safe and they’re happy. It really is just a magic spot. You can actually see a little doggie there wagging its tail. My sheds, man, even ladies love their sheds. This one is huge, lots of stuff in it at the moment but you can see the size. It’s obviously got power. We’ve also got solar power. We’ve got mains power, but we’ve also got solar power 4.8 kPa for the house.
This shed, oh my goodness, shed in the concrete, high so you can get in your boats or your motorhomes, you could do welding. You really could do, again, whatever you want. At the side, there’s an extra space that is sort of like a lean-to. If you have a look down here, we’ve already got boats and cars and all sorts of things in there, again, massive, massive space. There’s just no excuse.
[music]
I really hope you’ve enjoyed this tour of 2413 Kennedy Highway in Koah and hopefully, you have got the sense off– I’m not going to say anything. How majestic those views actually are. Now, just a little bit of a quick recap because we have gone a little bit overtime. Brilliant, old feel of a style of a Queenslander but without all the high maintenance of wood and wood. We’ve got concrete and Hardie board. Upstairs, we have got brilliant open-plan living, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
Downstairs, we’ve got that magical, self-contained, one-bedroom apartment and they all look out onto this lifestyle swimming pool. It is just to die for. We’ve got a brilliant, huge, big shed, we’ve got a chook pen that you could house, I don’t know, hundreds of chickens if you wanted to, and we have got solar power 4.8 kilowatt. Now the dam is down that side, 80 by 40 meters and it’s got barra and black bream fish in it.
We’ve got another dam up the top of the property which, again, has ocean glimpses, but pad up there, quite comfortably, you could set up there and take a picnic. We’re actually going to put a drone up so that you can get a bit of a sense of scale of the property and give you a bit of an idea that one kilometre and about half a kilometre across the back.
