Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to Number 24 Williamson Drive in Kuranda. This fabulous lifestyle, big, solid family home is in a brilliant location, and I mean brilliant location. This is Williamson Drive and it is Dress Circle Kuranda. There are literally million-dollar homes just within walking distance at the end of the no through road.
What makes this property even extra special? Well, the land. We got about 1.1 acres of fully fenced, flat, open, sunny, usable land, an absolute rarity in Kuranda and of course, just perfect potential for that ultimate lifestyle dream.
Let’s go and have a look. You’re absolutely going to fall in love with this property. If you’re in a mad rush, the current owners have just moved out so you can move straight in. Don’t forget to press that little Subscribe button. Let’s go in and have a look.

Welcome. You are not going to believe the size and the functionality of this house and the property itself. Brilliant little bit of orientation, we actually came up the driveway and we are on the sort of high point of the land. It’s really private and you get lots and lots of breezes, but we will explore the garden, of course. Two ways into the house, we have got a big double carport and you’ll have seen also a double garage and a shade house. Oh my God, excitement plus. Then this is actually the sunroom entrance. You can come in along the path here. They both lead straight into the kitchen and the living area. Let’s go in and have a great old explore.
[music]
This is me. I’ve come in the other entrance, like there’s two of me already. The key thing about this house and this property is the size. It is unusual to find a really big block house that has enough space literally for the whole family. We are going to go through and we are going to have a really good look. It’s got four bedrooms. It’s got two bathrooms. It has an office and it has this great, big– You could call it a sun room, you could call it a rumpus area, call it whatever you want, but these are brilliant because if you want to, these just come down and they click into place or you have beautiful, natural views of the garden. I mean, that’s just glorious. There’s a gorgeous little pond out there.
We’ve got sliding doors, patio doors so we can lock up without any problem and of course, the sun blinds that actually come down. I know that the lovely men in the audience are probably checking out that bar area as we speak. Let’s come into the main living area. Big, bright, and bold. This is where we came in with the double carport. Now, brilliant in the wet tropics because you are straight in and as I said, you could certainly walk around the path and come in the sunroom entrance, but this is super duper functional. Undercover, two cars easy, straight in with your shopping into the kitchen.
Big kitchen, spacious. Again, natural light is everywhere and that’s really, really important when you live in the tropical far North Queensland. Completely functional. Great big double sink, you don’t see them very often and of course, big pantry and gas cooking. Plenty of space. I’m going to use that one an awful lot, but there is genuinely plenty of space. From an orientation point of view, we’ve got sun room, we’ve got the driveway, we’ve got a kitchen with a double carport, and the lounge looks out to the garden. We’ve also got two entrances into the sun room. From an entertaining point of view, Bob’s your uncle. I think that’s the right word anyway.
Have a bit of a look through here and then we’re going to head down the hall way, have a look at those bedrooms.
[music]
Let’s walk down the hallway. Now, it’s odd sometimes looking at a house that doesn’t have any furniture in it, but you can see the space, you can see what it has and what it doesn’t have, and as I said fantastic if you really are keen just to move in. Down this part of the world, we’ve got a four bedrooms, two bathrooms. This is a really big laundry. We’ve got high ceilings. You can see up there. Manhole, for getting up into the roof, not that you would necessarily want to get up into the roof. Clearly, children’s room, beautiful kermit green. You’ll either love it or not. These have got built-ins, plenty of space for hanging or for storage. You’ve got a mirror and just a painted door.
One of the key things as well is that every single one of the bedrooms actually goes out into the garden and it’s all fully screened. Another great big cupboard in the laundry goes all the way up to the top, so plenty of storage. Then we’ll pop our little head in here. This is another bedroom and of course, we’ve got the sliding doors and the fly screens. Hopefully, what you’re actually noticing is that the house is fully air-conditioned. Oh my goodness, can you believe the luxury? There’s air in every room.
Now, this would be the main family bathroom. It backs onto the master with a ensuite which is just behind us, but this is big. Again, you’ve got vanity, plenty of space underneath. Beautiful, big mirror there. Check my lippy. Separate toilet and big bath area with a big shower with a bath. You could always take that out, you could renovate it, you could do whatever you wanted with it, but it is 1,000% functional. Again, space. You don’t get that amount of luxury space unless you build a brand new, big, mega mansion of a house, in which case, it’ll cost you a billion dollars.
This is a happy, sunny, bright room. You can see we’ve got no lights in here and it is incredibly bright. Again, sliding doors. Again, air conditioner and again, we’ve got the brilliant built-in robe. We’re nearly there, we are coming up into the master bedroom now, and this really is plentiful big. The doors actually run all the way along. We got a full– Oh geez, that’s a lot of space. The drawers, for all your little your bits and your bobs. Air conditioning, love it and of course, fans as well.
Whoops, and then into the into the bathroom. We’ve got a toilet. Obviously, we’ve got a vanity and just pop your little head around there and you can have a look. It’s just a nice, big shower.
[music]
Now, as if the inside of the house isn’t big enough, I have to just take 30 seconds. We love our entrances here in Australia and I’m just standing here looking. We’ve actually got our entrance into our sun room. We’ve got entrances into the living room. We can enter into the house from the the carport. We can come into the house via any of the bedrooms and we’ve also got a front door. How fantastic is that? Never ever worry about ventilation or a breeze coming one way or the other.
We’re going to do the garden, but before we do, this is another big magic room. An office space or it could actually just be storage, but don’t forget we’ve already got our four bedrooms. We’ve already got our two bathrooms, big bathrooms, and a massive, big, sun lounge rumpus bar in the dining area, whatever you want to call it. Again, this great big area here. It really is big enough for, we say, the extended family. It could be a single person. If you’ve just got lots of stuff, but there is space to breath [inhales]. Speaking of which, the garden’s phenomenal.
Just have a bit of a quick look around here. I’m going to meet you back around and we’re going to start at the double garage and that little shade house.
[music]
I know this is unbelievably, humungously exciting, but we have solar power. For those who want that self-sustainability option, we’ve got two water tanks and about five kilowatts of solar power. Of course, as you can see today, I’m going to come out into the sun, a beautiful big sparkly day. Low electricity bills, oh, fantastic. I’ve just come back through from showing those fantastic little box things for the solar. Again, this is the double carport entrance, but I just wanted to show you the actual solar panels themselves.
We’ve also got solar hot water so again, that whole self-sustainability is fantastic. Now, if you’re into gardening as some people are, some people aren’t, we have actually got here a gorgeous little shade house. When you’re a gardener, it doesn’t actually matter if its got little bits on it or it’s half falling down. It’s the dream of being able to propagate your own plants. That is the most magical thing. We’re going to start double garage. Oh, here we go. I’m not very tall, but it does spring up. Plenty of space. We’ve got concrete floor, we’ve clearly got gal steel frame.
There’s a little hole cut out there because we’ve got a little baby annex at the back that you can store all your uglies– Your bits of wood, your bits of metal, your ride-on lawnmower, et cetera. Again, the whole sense of space. Double carport, double garage, and we’re going to have a look a the shipping container, but before we do– Yoo-hoo, excitement plus. Come in. This has been added on to the side of the double garage. If you are into doing anything with plants or you just want a little baby shade house to put some ferns or even somewhere to keeps your chickens, this could be a fantastic little starting spot. I just love this.
Of course, we’ve got a beautiful blue sky today and it just feels so much cooler in there. [lip smacks] Fabulous. If we look at this side of the house, we can see air-conditioning units. We can see our gas bottles for a gas stove or gas cooktop. Easy walkthrough, hang out our laundry. Look at this. This is unheard of actually in Kuranda. That was not unheard of, but it’s very unusual which makes it super special that we have open, usable, fully fenced, plenty of space where all the kids to run around, if you’ve got pets or little baby animals. It’s just endless possibilities.
This was a little lean-to that we seen when we were in the double carport– Not double carport, the double garage, and that’s the little space here. It’s been added on, it’s in good condition, and it gives you all that extra space just to put little ride-ons and, of course, storage. Storage, this is storage on steroids. It’s about 70– I don’t know, 72, 73 square meters, so if you have a workshop or you really just did want to store things, this is massive.
We’re not going to go in and have a really good look inside the shipping container. Everybody knows what a shipping container looks like, but I just wanted to give you a bit of an idea. Gosh, it’s bright today. This is brilliant. You could just have endless possibilities in here, including cutting up a hole and making it a little baby granny flat or an extra living spot. It goes all the way to the end. The floor is in pretty good condition. We’re not falling through it. There’s also a couple of workbenches in there as well, steel workbenches if you’re so inclined. Potential excitement, all the possibilities of life.
Of course, they do close, but I’ve only got little hands and I think you need a couple of strong people just to get them all cranked up. We can see again fencing all the way around. We’ve got little fruit trees just up here. We probably got lemon, lime, a perfect growing environment. Again, you can see all the space for your herbs, your veggies, your veggie patch, your chicken coops. Whatever you want to put here is just unbelievable. Just take a minute, just breathe it all in, and then we’re going to do a very quick wrap-up.
[music]
I really hope you have enjoyed this wonderful little baby film of Number 24 Williamson Drive in Kuranda, Dress Circle Kuranda, Millionaire Row at the end of the street, Kuranda. We’ve seen it inside out, why would you buy this property? Well, it really is pretty exciting. The last time that you would’ve come across four bedrooms, two bathrooms, sun room, entertaining area, study, balcony, double carport, double garage, shipping container, solar power, solar hot water, fully fenced, fully airconditioned on about 1.1 acres of really lovely, flat, usable– I use the word usable land. Lots of acreage properties in Kuranda, but the majority of them, because we live in a rainforest, we clearly have rainforest trees.
