Angela: I am Angela Martin, and welcome to No. 2 James Cook Drive in Kewarra Beach. It’s so rare to find a property at Kewarra Beach, that not only offers a brilliant location, but a house that is big enough genuinely for the extended family, plus plenty of space as you would have seen when we came in, for cars, toys, boats, trucks. Plus, you have that intimate privacy with breathtaking mountain views on a whopping one acre of fully fenced tropical garden. Let’s go in and explore. You’re going to fall in love with this property.
Welcome. Before you come in, how fabulous is this entrance? We’ve got mega high ceilings and beautiful rendered block walls. The whole house feels Mediterranean but come on through. Big double doors. Again, the first thing you will notice is that you are into really big living space. I’m just going to do a little bit of orientation so that you get a feel for where all the bits are in the house.
This is living room number two or media room. Then on this side of the hallway, we’ve got three bedrooms including the master. The master is in that side. Great big ensuite. Great big walk in robe. Three-bay shed, down that side, garage doors it come in, and two other bedrooms. Then on this side of the hallway, we have got another two bedrooms. We got two-way bathroom, and laundry, and that takes us through into kitchen, and main entertaining area. Let’s go through this way straight into that gorgeous kitchen area.

I love these little features, bi-fold doors. How cute is that? It just means that if you are cooking tea or you’re watching telly here, you can also not cook tea, but you can watch telly in there as well. A little bit extra privacy. Kitchens, number one favorite thing on the whole planet. I love kitchens especially when they’re created for a chef, for entertaining, but this is big. It’s bright. You got your stone bench top. It reflects lots of light and, of course, you can see now into that private garden. Plenty of space, lots of cupboards, and a great big, probably triple size gas cooker. Gas top here. We’ve got a range hood. Again, that nice cosmopolitan splashback that you would expect but big double fridge. So many houses that are built these days only have space for little baby fridges, but this you can easily put in– Well, that’s an oversized double fridge.
Just spacious, high ceilings, fans. Whole house is air-conditioned. Of course, we walk out onto that fantastic entertaining deck. We’ll have a quick look at the bedrooms and the bathrooms, and then we’re going to head outside.

So we’re just going to check out this wing of the house. I mentioned at the beginning about lots and lots of storage space for cars, and for boats, and for trucks, and for all things. The inside of the house, too, has got plenty of storage. Kitchen, massive amount. We’ve got great big doors here with lots of storage inside.
I’m not allowed to open them because we all know what it’s like when you’re moving. Everything lives in the cupboards. Laundry access out again to the garden. Plenty big lots of space. Utility, magic big sink, and little cat door, a little doggie door there, just in case you’ve got any little pets.
Fabulous. I just love this communal vanity area with a separate loo just through here. Separate toilet, and then you’ve actually almost got like a granny flat scenario where one of these bedrooms has a two-way bathroom. This takes us through main bathroom into what is one of the bedrooms. Again, we’ve got five bedrooms in total, plenty of storage, air conditioning, and fans. You’ll see that in all the rooms in the house. We’ve sort of done this little bit backwards, but we’ll come back out into the hallway.
This is where we came in from the actual kitchen. Another bedroom. Brilliant setup here. Clearly a studio photographer. Again, you can see how much space is there, built-in robes and magic views out to the garden, and air conditioning and fans. I’m going to stop going on about that, but it just goes to show how fabulous this could be in the Cairns heat. You could close everything up if you wanted to, and just enjoy the climate. High ceilings works every time. We’re back to where we came in and, of course, that second living area. Let’s head down that way, and we’ll have a look at the other three bedrooms.

As if that’s not enough space, this is the master ensuite wing, call it what you will. The one thing that I haven’t mentioned is that this whole side of the house look so onto a sensational pool, and I mean like a really yummy swimming pool area. We’ll do that when we go back out onto the entertaining deck. You could lie in here in bed in the morning. When I say private, I mean it’s just 100% private. You’re looking out there, thinking life doesn’t get any better than this, but it can if you like spas.
Master ensuite does actually have beautiful spa bath. Into the day or at the weekend, you just jump in there, have your tea, your coffee or your beer or your wine, whatever takes your fancy and again, you can just have access looking into the gardens. Beautiful mirrors here, double vanity, and a great big shower. It really is a fantastic, just luxury resort-type space.
Just before we go; the walk in robe. We’ve got mirrors here, so you can get up in the morning, and make sure you look at the part for wherever it is you’re going to go that day. Plenty again. I’m going to about the space, because space in people’s houses, it’s a rare commodity these days. We have got plenty of space. Just have a quick squizzie in there. You can hang up all your bits, and it has got brilliant shelving for dust. You just don’t have to worry about going in there with flat shelves and taking the duster over there. Everything can fold under the carpet. Give it a vacuum, off you go.

I really hope you’re getting a sense of how much of a resort lifestyle feel of a property this is. You’re on the inside there, and it’s calm, and it’s cool. It’s a hot day today. You can see the bright blue sky. There’s very little breeze. In there, it’s like, “The world is okay.” Then, you come out here onto your entertaining deck, and again, you have got that beautiful element of shade, looking out into gorgeous, sparkly, blue water.
Now, the beach is not far from here. You’re only five minutes to Kewarra Beach and, of course, we have the Far North Queensland beachline on our doorstep. Green Island, the Great Barrier Reef is only not very far that way, but you never have to go there if you don’t want to, because you have the most amazing resort pool. Let’s go out there, and let’s just have a bit of a feel for that water.

Isn’t this just unbelievable? My goodness; I need my sunnies, I need my shorts, and I need to just be able to relax in such a glorious day. Now, there are resort pools and there are resort pools. This is a resort pool; it is so inviting. We’ve got beautiful tiled area all the way around. Again, you feel you’re in a resort, and then we have this gorgeous Bali pavilion. It’s just fabulous. Fairy lights, you could imagine these at night just relaxing, glass of wine, beer, family, friends, sitting up here, lovely candles.
Hopefully, you are still getting a sense; I use the word, intimate privacy at the beginning of our little film. You could be in there, you could be over in your entertaining area and you don’t see anyone. We were on a corner property so your view of the world is that glorious part of the garden. Now, most of the gardens are completely flat and usable, beautiful tropical plants, and the set into three little areas.
We’ve got over there, where you get a fair bit of shade. Then we have the sheds area, which gets quite a lot of light, and you can see the lilly pillies on one side there. Then, of course, you have the bit at the front of the house as well which is just, well, it’s just lovely. You really have everything you need in this majestic, glorious, lifestyle property. Let’s go and have a quick look at those sheds, and we’ll finish up in the garden.

Come on in. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I think that was nine beautiful’s, maybe it was only seven beautiful’s, but it does give you a sense of just how really lovely, just lovely this garden is. We’ve got a pool fence here, and then we have another fence which is a visual break, if you like, to take us out into, I mentioned again, plenty of space for your toys, your trucks, or your boats. This one, in particular, this end bay, is actually extended at the end so it is long enough for a boat.
You add that onto the three-bay lockup garage, if you like, at the house, and that’s a serious amount of storage. We’ve got concrete driveway as well, so in the wet tropics, you don’t have to worry about things getting bogged. You’ve got room for your trailers, you’ve got plenty of room to come in and out, and, of course, we have got those gorgeous electric gates at the front. Let’s have another quick look around the garden, and we’ll do a bit of a summary.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this short film of No. 2 James Cook Drive in Kewarra Beach. We spoke way back at the beginning about location and all the yummy things that this property has to offer. Hopefully, in this little quick summary, you get an essence of what it’s about. The location, brilliant location, so close to the beaches, we’ve got about 24 parks that are so close including those amazing mountain views, schools, James Cook University.
If you commute into Cairns, it’s only about 16k’s, six or seven kilometers into Smithfield. You’ve got Bunnings, Woolworths and Coles; everything you would actually need. Kewarra Beach, just a fantastic beach suburb. Barrier Reef not far that way, so you can imagine Saturdays or Sundays, days off, it would just be sensational. You don’t have to go there because we have all of this about 4,000 square meters. Now, the house is about slap bang in the middle of the property, and if you imagine the thing we talked about with privacy, not only don’t we have a neighbor here or a neighbor there, it’s a roughly 60 meter-square.
You have all this lovely usable land. Of course, we’ve got five bedrooms, our master ensuite, has a spa that you can jump into. It’s fully air-conditioned. It is fly-screened and, of course, that amazing, amazing resort tropical pool. Just take two seconds, this could be your new home. Of course, the garage got three-bay sheds as lockout garage at the front of the house, and fabulous three-bay shed with that extra extension for the boat at the other end.
