Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin, and welcome to number 1B Spring Crescent in Kuranda in the most amazing, beautiful, sparkly winter’s day. This property is quite simply a brilliant little gem, and it’s all about simple living and a very low-maintenance lifestyle. You can spend time doing all the things that you enjoy, and of course, the things that make you happy; rather, than having to spend all your time doing things that you don’t want to do. Now, this property is: it’s quiet, it’s peaceful, it’s very, very private, and it’s affordable.
The reason I say that is because this is in amongst millionaires’ row. You are surrounded, brilliant location, by literally million-dollar properties. This land with this shouse is on a whopping 5,800 square meters of beautiful tropical gardens with fruit trees that we just seen as we came in. Let’s go in and have a look. You’re going to fall in love with it. Before we do, make sure you please, press that subscribe button, notification bell, so that you get to find out a bit more fabulous lifestyle properties just like this one.

Welcome to our shouse. Now, shouse is a thing. It is a way of living. As I said just a minute ago, this is just all about simple, straightforward, with almost no maintenance, oh, beautiful, beautiful breeze today, all-steel construction. It’s only about six years old, so all you have to do is just move your stuff in and enjoy. As always, we have got several ways of getting into your house, shouse. We got this way, and then, of course, we’ll probably go around on that way because you get to see that gorgeous little balcony that you can sit and relax on and have your cup of tea in the morning or your dinner at night, and of course, the 5.8, not 5.8 but 5,800 square meters of beautiful gardens that we will walk through.
This is brilliant for keeping the sun off. Welcome, come on in. I had to actually just get my feet a little bit clean there because we had a little bit of morning rain, which is beautiful at this time of year. Now, easy, airy, bright, and completely open living. You could configure this any way you want. It’s very simple. It’s very straightforward. Of course, we’ve got these are cupboards that separate your sleeping area through here, very fairy princess-like. Again, lots and lots and lots of natural light and it is 100% private.
We could be lying in bed here, no one looking in there, definitely, no one looking in over here. We have got screens that just take us out into the rainforest. It looks and feels fabulous, and you get that gorgeous, fresh, morning smell just energizing, absolutely energizing. Beautiful bathroom, again, bright, fresh, modern. We’ve got facility for your laundry, so you can put your stuff in there, all works beautifully. Louver windows, they let in ventilation pretty much all year round. You can sleep with them. You can close them. You can do whatever you like, but they’re brilliant.
I love this. Love it. Can you feel [chuckles] the calminity? I don’t know if that’s actually a word, but I did mention about peaceful. I did mention three times now about private. It is so unusual to be able to feel that and experience that in a lifestyle property, especially when you are, for example, on Spring Crescent. We did say it was millionaires’ row. We have space. We have relaxation, and we just have that “I can spend my life doing anything I want” in this property so plenty of space.
This little workbench here will stay with the property if you want it to. Brilliant just for chopping up all your little fruit and all your little veggies and all your little dinner bits. You can walk all the way around it so just lifestyle. We are going to head back out probably that way and we’re going to have a look at the shed, and then we’re going to head round the balcony and have a look through the gardens.
[music]
Sorry, I’m just going to change my mind, again. We’re not going to head out that way, we’re going to head and have a quick look at the balcony before we go to the shed. Now, hopefully, you did also notice that we have air conditioning in the main living area. This is beautiful, absolutely just magic. Now, we are going to go down, explore down over this area after we’ve been through the garden and the shed because that is just a little, it’s actually a really big gem. We have a permanent creek down there, Jumrum Creek, which is almost unheard of. Most of them are seasonal and they come and they go, but you’ve got water in it all year round.
Let’s go via the garden before we go to the shed. Head down here, beautiful little fire-pit area. You could just imagine sitting here either in the morning or at the end of the day, in the winter, which it is at the moment, beautiful, bright, sparkly sky, beautiful 26, 27, 28-degree days, overlooking Jumrum Creek. If you Google Jumrum Creek, you’ll get to see exactly where it goes, but that is on your property. We haven’t had a lot of rain, but there is still water in it so just magic, absolutely magic. Plenty of big space there for your relaxation spots. Not that we don’t need them because we’ve got heaps of them.
Now, the garden, low maintenance. We have fruit trees. We’ve got guava. We’ve got mango. We have got pawpaw. If you have a look up here, there’s a whole bunch of pawpaws just starting to grow and dangle, and they’ll be ready for you when you move in. Fingers crossed, they’ll be beautiful and ripe, and juicy. Like I said, we’ve got heaps and heaps and heaps of fruit trees. Nice big open grassed area where you’ll find your paddy melons, maybe even a peacock. Yes, you heard correctly, there is a resident peacock that just wanders through everyone’s gardens, beautiful, beautiful bird.
Then space up here for a little gazebo, all your gardening supplies. This comes round and joins the back path that we would have seen when we actually came down the driveway at the beginning, which is just up here at the back of the shed. Again, the 5,800 square meters, you get the best of both worlds. We have got open sun, bright, fresh, and sparkly, and then over the other side of the property, we have rainforest. We have shade. We have coolness. We have, today, beautiful breeze, just breathtaking. I’m going to head you over that little bridge, and we’re going to head over to the shed.
[music]
I just love, there you are, bromeliads, brilliant. You just pop one in and then they have babies. Then you start with one, you get three. You have three, and then you have– Well, they just all keep multiplying. That would have started off with one bromeliad. We have a little watercourse that runs, it’s like a little pond, and it just comes all the way through here, under the bridge, all the way through here. When we go back going down to the actual Jumrum, I’ll just show you in there again. Just remind me because you’ll probably have gorgeous little guppy fish. Look at that. Just all the little water plants in there. That is just gorgeous, absolutely glorious.
Now the shed, if you have a hobby or if you have a motorhome, the shed door is about 3 meters high. You can actually get whether it’s a boat or as I said, a motorhome or a caravan, there’s a pretty good chance that those doors are going to be high enough to be able to get through. It’s not the height of the inside, it’s the actual 3 meters from there up to where the roller door joins up at the top. That little door, have you seen that? I love that door, barn-style door opens and shuts. It’s a three-bay shed, so it’s roughly 3 meters by or say 6 meters by 10 meters. It just says “Come in, make this a little bit special for me.”
It’s just amazing, all concrete, high, high roof because again, if we’ve got that for our 3 meters, just imagine what you could use this for. At the moment, of course, when people are moving in or they’re moving out, almost everything that has been packed or unpacked ends up in the shed. You can see there’s lots of stuff in it, and there’s still plenty of space. Super close to your shouse and lots and lots and lots of bright, open, sparkly land. We’re going to pop a little head down over through there so you get a sense of what the rainforest looks like and then we’re going to go back round the back deck and down some fabulous organic stairs.
[music]
Magical, magical rainforest at 7 by 10. I just had a little think in my brain that is definitely a three-bay shed and it is a 7 by 10, not a 6 by 10 as I mentioned at the beginning. We’re going to head down the back, but I mentioned about half rainforest, half open, bright, and sparkly. This just gives you a little bit of a feel for rainforest. This little section down here is also part of your land. I want us to go around the back of the house so you get a chance to see everything, and then we’ll just turn around this way so that you get a real good close-up of that 7 by 10-meter shed and how nice and easy and accessible it is to the house.
Now we’ve got a gas bottles through over here. We’ve got a fabulous, like we said, lifestyle balcony. We’re just going to take because I did promise before we head down, I’m just going to show you where I think those little guppy fish might be. That’s a hot water service which is gas. That’s where a septic system lives. I know we’ve been here, but I just wanted to show you this little bit, this little bit, this little bit here, so you get a better idea of it. This is magic, look. We’ve got [sighs] guppy fish. Could be anything in there, I’m hoping just guppy fish. We are going to head back round over there and head down those stairs.
[music]
Wow, what a beautiful, beautiful view. We’ve got a deck that you can see up there and you get a sense of the view that you would get from your deck. Then we have these stairs have been hand-built by somebody’s hands, and they would have had to pull all the rocks down here. They would have had to mix up all the concrete, and then just make it all so that it’s just organic and fabulous looking. It just fits beautifully into the garden. Then, of course, we’ve got, do you see these? They look like little dangly things, but do you remember we spoke about the bromeliads just when we went over the little bridge?
That’s, believe it or not, a living, eating, breathing plant. They’re brilliant. They’re called Tillandsia and they just absorb all the moisture and the nutrients out the air. They’re just fabulous. The birds love them, absolutely love them. Now, this is organic beyond belief. This fits beautifully. Look at this. We’ve got this tree. We’ve got the tree roots. I know you’re going, “Oh, gosh, Angela, you know it’s only rocks.” “Well, yes, but it’s part of the land and it adds to the feel.” That’s been the rock in amongst the roots. I’m not going to go on about it, but it feels brilliant. Now, this here, you are going to love.
It looks like an oversized hammock, or I should say an oversized trampoline, but it is actually an oversized hammock. Now, I had never seen one of these before, but you could imagine on the hottest of hottest days, relaxing on it, reading a book, just having a snooze, having a sleep, listening to the water on Jumrum Creek. Now, I’m not going to get on there because it’ll probably be quite an ugly sight for me to try and get myself on and off, but you can get about 8 or 10 people on there quite comfortably or so, the owner tells me. If we come down here, you get a sense of looking upwards. Look at this. This is a rainforest vine. If you love the rainforest, this property is not going to disappoint.
We’ve got beautiful, great big trees. We’ve got trees over that side and the bright, sparkly sun up around the house. Then we’ve got the actual creek. Now, Jumrum, as I said, it’s probably one of the few permanent creeks in the whole of Kuranda. We’re going to be able to dip our little toes in there in the hottest of hottest days and it’s going to be beautifully cool. If we have a look around over here, this is still on your property, so we’ve got maybe another 15 or 20 meters in that direction.
I mean, creeks don’t go in straight lines, they go in and out, but you still are able to say, “That’s mine.” Then, of course, we’ve got this little bit over here. That’s also part of the property, so it runs across pretty much where that little tree is. If you wanted to put a little trumbull bridge there, or you just wanted to walk over and sit and put a table and chairs and look back up at your property, then of course, you could. Oh, look at this, look, look, look. Oh, wow, that’s an orchid. It’s a kind of orchid. I’ve got no idea what sort of orchid it is, but look, it’s happy.
It’s putting down all its little roots and it’s clearly comfortable going up that tree fern, a little sparkly bits up there. Can you hear that? Can you hear the water? As I mentioned before, it’s calm and it’s incredibly peaceful. You could just imagine the little bees and the butterflies, everything just loving that. The wallabies will love that. They’ll love you forever because you’re watering them and you’re feeding them. I’m going to head back up and we’re going to do quick wrap-up.
[music]
I really hope that you have enjoyed this wonderful little tour of number 1B Spring Crescent in Kuranda, a no-through road Spring Crescent. It’s a little loop, so the peace, quiet, and privacy a really, really, really big thing if that’s what you’re after. Of course, the gardens, wow, just amazing, absolutely amazing. Now, why would we buy this property? We talked about getting a life back, spending the time doing the things that you want to do and the things that genuinely make you happy.
That could be gardening. It could be, “I’m just going to marvel at my orchid on the tree, or I’m going to trim my little gingers or my Cordylines.” It could also be too that you’re looking to downsize. You want an Airbnb. You want short-term accommodation. You’re an investor, you want to rent it, or you have a motorhome and you just can’t find a place where you can actually put your little bits in your bobs comfortably and easily. This property’s got everything, half shade, half sun, permanent creek.
Of course, as I’ve said, now 300 million times, the location, the location is second to none. It is prime Kuranda real estate in amongst million-dollar homes. Of course, this is affordable, so give me a call, Angela Martin, 0403 788 187. Visit the website angelamartin.tv.
