Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin, and welcome to number 126 Green Forest Road in Kuranda. What an amazing sparkly day and this is phenomenal and I mean phenomenal value for money. Now, property prices, as we all know, have been skyrocketing the last 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, so being able to buy a property like this is becoming more and more and even more difficult for the ordinary everyday person who doesn’t have a billion dollars in the bank. I hear you ask the question, why so cheap? Now, use the word cheap. Why so cheap?
Well, there are several ways in Australia that people buy properties, joint tenancy, 50/50 split, or a tenants in common property where you have an allocated share, and in this instance, it’s a fabulous five-acre allocated share on an 80-acre property and I’m going to show you just how beautiful it is.

How’s this for a fabulous and I mean fabulous all year round, outdoor entertaining, so you could be sitting here in the wind, in the rain, in what is like a 36-degree day today or that beautiful sparkly sky, and you feel like you are just in your own little world. It is original. The current owner has been here for 30 years, so you are getting a property that has been loved and I mean loved within an inch of its life. We’ve got fabulous outdoor cooking. Again, the hottest of hottest days.
You could put a barbie here but you can cook, you can enjoy. This is all you have probably five acres. Can you imagine the space that five acres feels like and it’s split between open and sunny and beautiful natural rainforest? Absolutely brilliant and then, a bar. Everyone loves a bar. We’ve got a little bulletproof block house. We’ve got tile floors, and then we have actually got three rooms. We’ve got room number one here with robes. Shouldn’t have been people’s cupboards, no mirrors on them but we don’t need mirrors. This goes through into another room but we’ve got two sleeping areas in here. Again, this one has a little box air conditioner. This one’s got aircon, built in fans, and again, we’ve got very tidy and I mean tidy indoor robs. Then, this is just a great just relaxation area but I can guarantee that you’ll spend all day, every day out on that undercover area.
We’ve got kitchen here which would be the internal kitchen. Super clean, super tidy, and then completely functional. Again, we’ve got cupboards that can either be taken in or out and you can just have outdoors. Then, through here, we’ve actually got a combination of– Oh, and we’ve got air conditioning in here too, don’t forget the air on, and then we’ve got this brilliant combo of bright open and sunny. We’ve got a loo in here, a little toilet. Come in here. Separate loo. Just have a little peek and then we’ve got a shower in here.
Again, remember, this is an original property, so it’s all works, it’s all scrubbed, it’s all beautifully clean. It’s not smelly and it is a thousand percent functional. Again, that’s a shower. Then, if we come out here, we’ll do this when we get to the gardens, but this just gives you a bit of an idea. This was the driveway that services this property, plus property at the back. Fully fenced here. Again, it’s 100% private, so I’m going to meet you back through there and we’re going to have a look at that other room on the other side.

I think this is just absolutely magic. As I said, you’re just probably not going to spend any time in there at all. You’re going to be spending time out here. Luxuriating, sitting, having relaxations with all your family or all your friends. Then, this is a little separate spot. Now, it’s a big room and it’s been divided pretty much into two. This was the bedroom in here. If we just have a little sneak peek, so that can see us into the house. That’s living area over and there. This doesn’t have to be here and we’ve got another air-conditioned spot.
Fabulous, and of course, we’ve got curtains here because it looks over into the other bedroom but if we have a look at the window, we’ll just– let’s go this way and we’ve all got garden views. Absolutely just stunning. Fruit trees, sun, rainforest, open, sunny paddock, and again, all tiled and all tiled. I did mention brilliant value for money. We are just going to breathe this in. Enjoy the butterfly wings because that’s about all you can hear. Oh, no, that’s little bird wings and then we’re going to have a wander through the gardens.

This is absolutely spectacular. That was the little laundry that we were in or the bathroom and the laundry, just off to the side. The gardens are gorgeous. They’re low maintenance, easy care, but if you’ve got little dogs or pets, the whole area around the house here is fenced so you don’t have to worry about your little animals escaping and this is gorgeous little bird bath. We mentioned open, flat, sunny, and rainforests. If you have horses, this has actually been a horse property for many, many, many years, and we have got stables, we have got a dressage area, we have got four-fenced paddocks.
You could also possibly earn some little bit of extra income on adjustment for someone else’s horses if you didn’t want to have horses, but this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Trees, fruit trees, fruit trees. I think that tin source’s probably several years old because we are not actually at Christmas, and again, you can see all the different paddocks. We got to that horsey stable, just brilliant. At Green Forest Road is at the end of a North Oak Road, so it’s peaceful, it’s quiet, it’s easy driving to Kuranda Village.
You have access to everything that you would want. You get the IGA and you’ve got pubs and you’ve got cafes and just everything you need actually. Oh, look at this. This is brilliant. Even instant sand pit, if you had children. They’re going to absolutely love that and you can feel a difference in the temperature. It is mega cool. This is just absolutely brilliant.
[music] This is horsey heaven. Oh, breeze. Oh, my goodness. That is just brilliant. Now, sheds. Everyone loves sheds. If we look at the ground, sorry, 10 steps back here. There’s plenty of space to drive your cars, to drive your little tractors, drive your little hobby bits. You have this as a hobby farm and you’re not going to get mud. Then, of course, we have, as I said, this really– this is a brilliant, brilliant shed. Look at the space. We’ve got, what size would this be? One, two, three, four, five, it’s probably six meters this way.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, probably about 12 meters that way. That’s just this part here. Then, of course, we’ve got the same with a little annex on front. Big enough for all your projects, hobbies, gardening stuff, cars, trucks, bolts, anything that your little heart desires.

That is an absolutely– That’s a dream shed if ever you could dream of a shed that size. Absolutely magic. Okay, so we’re now going into a different part. Now, you can instantly see the change in the light and I can assure you, I can instantly feel the change in the temperature. We got some magic big banana trees there. You’re going to get heaps of bananas off of that. There’s lots of them. Lots and lots and lots. Okay. As we look through here, that was one of the other fence paddocks. We got another fence paddock through here, but this is beautiful.
If we actually put little iron through there, there’s all sorts of rainforest tracks that you can make or just go exploring. Then, down through here, oh, it’s gorgeous. Down through go here, we’ve actually got a little peek off the dressage arena. Look at the rainforest. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. All this is on your allocated five acres. Look at that. Now, I mentioned before, if you don’t have horses, you do not have to use it for horses. Of course, you don’t but you could have that as a food forest. You could grow all sorts of fruit and veggies in there because it’s flat, it’s fenced.
You could put little extra bits around it to stop little animals sharing your produce, or you could just put an orchard in. You’ve got plenty of fruit trees already, but if there was specifics that you wanted, you got all the space on the planet. I’m going to meet you down there and we’re going to head down into that bottom paddock.

As always, with any property in this whole area, there’s probably two or three different ways that you can get into the spot that you actually want to get into. We’ve come down that little pathway into the dressage area and you can also walk up and around the other fence paddock. Just for reference, the house is just picking its little head up through there. Totally private, you just can’t see it. This gives us a sense of– Oh, look at this. This is magic. Absolutely magic. It’s big.
I’m not a very big person, but even that and how many– Look in the photographs or stop the video and just count literally how many of posts are there and you will be able to work out the size. According to the owner, it is a full-size arena. Again, you can use it if you want to. Just brilliant. Veggies, fruit trees, kids on peewees, kids on bikes, just relaxation. Go nowhere, do nothing, leave the world behind, and enjoy living. I’m going to meet you over there and we’re going to have a look at the other paddock.

We’ve got another little gate. Now, that’s the thing with gates and paddocks. You’ve always got to remember to close after you. How much land do you need? How much land would you want? How much land could you actually use? Again, we got another little stable shelter just down there. Look at that view. You can get a little horse in there. From an orientation point of view, that up at the corner was where we came in. That’s the access road that accesses this property, plus another couple up the back, but it’s private. Where’s your neighbors? Where’s your neighbors looking into you?
It’s just absolutely glorious. I’m gobsmacked. We’re going to head further up there and we’re going to do a bit of a quick wrap-up.
