Angela Martin: I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number 12 Fallon Road in Kuranda. Wow. Angela: We got a glimpse of that pool as we came in and we will go back out there. I promise, but if we can just do a little bit of orientation. Two driveways on this property, which means that you don’t ever have to worry about little turning cycles. We had the main one at the front where we had the little number 12. It goes all the way around to the bottom, which takes us to parking under the house.
We’ve come in this little entrance hall. We have got this amazing, and I mean amazing big space here, which is the central living and, of course, the deck. Down the hallway, we have got the main bathroom, separate toilet, and a couple of bedrooms. The master has an en suite and a walk-in robe. This really is a seriously, seriously relaxation, just chill type of property. We’re going to have a look at the kitchen. We’re going to have a wander around and we’re going to head outside pretty much straight away because it is so exciting.

Angela: The open plan of this whole living area, it’s relaxing. It’s calm and we have rainforest views out of every single window, but the whole essence here is that you could be chopping away, cooking away. Brilliant functional kitchen, stainless steel benches, so it’s super easy to keep clean. We’ve got a walk-in pantry over there which is brilliant for just walking in and off and getting all your handy food, but your entertaining area is right in front of you.
You can have people jumping in and out of the swimming pool. You could be sitting and relaxing on that beautiful balcony and everyone can talk to everyone else. That’s what makes it really special. You have no little walls or barriers and it just feels big and open and it’s just marvellous. Let’s have a quick look at those bedrooms and then we’re going to head outside.

Angela: This is the utility part of the sleeping area before we go to the master. We have bedroom. We have office or bedroom, great big cupboard, main bathroom, and toilet. Very, very functional.

Angela: Just before we head into the master, I know that I keep talking and changing here. It’s because everything is pretty exciting and there’s all the little things that you might look at in the film or you look at in a photograph. Actually, feeling it and experiencing it is really, really different. This whole side of the house opens up with these sliding, there we go, tinted windows and you have got the most amazing rainforest views. Of course, we’ve got louvers and we’ve got screened louvers. You’ve got all that ventilation. Again, rainforest smelling beautiful, shrubs flowering plants. We’re going to head into the master and then we are going outside.

Angela: We’re in the master area. Off to the side, we’ve got our walk-in robe. To there, we have our en suite, but I just like you to take 10 seconds. I’m not going to put on my pyjamas and I’m not going to climb into bed. If you could imagine waking up in morning, this is like a little treehouse. You feel as if you’re up in amongst the trees literally. You can just enjoy the birds, the butterflies, the sound of the little baby wings just fluttering by. Again, we’ve got air-conditioned comfort should you need it, but this is a magical sleeping room.

Angela: We got here in the end. Now, there are no words. I’m very rarely, very rarely stuck for little baby words to describe how something feels. When you come out of that, I keep using this word “super relaxed,” open living area just there. We have got this amazing lifestyle deck. Now, that could be water, could be sangria. It could be lemonade with fresh lemons off the tree, but you can just sit here and you could sit here all day. You could read a book. You could just enjoy this environment.
It is so special. It’s beautiful. We mentioned about little flowering shrubs and trees. This one here come out just a little tabituana, I think it’s called, but we’re heading out to the pool. We are heading out to this pool. It would have to be so super-duper enticing. Look at that. Now, I love to test the temperature on the pools because in the winter, it gets a little bit chillier. In the summer, we can come into warmer, warmer days. You really could just walk in there and just swell.
We’re going to head up here so you can get a bit of an idea of what the landscape, if you like, is from this gorgeous, little sitting area. We’ve got plenty of space when we came in in the garden. We’ve got about an acre of land, so plenty of land. It is 100% private. There’s a beautiful deck and those are even “beautifuller,” if that’s the right word, pool. You just can’t imagine what it’s like to be here. You just want to jump in, have a swim, just have a relax, and enjoy this whole environment. Just take it in. It’s brilliant.

Angela: Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. My little hidden gem with this property, we mentioned about downstairs. We’re going to head back down this way. The space that we have available to us underneath is huge. As if the pool and the deck in the living area is not big enough, we have concrete section downstairs with an extra bathroom and it is legal height. You can, if you want to, build in and this is the way that we would go down. I’m going to meet you at the bottom. Before we do, just have another baby look at those fabulous rainforest views.

Angela: I did mention that we have got plenty of space under here. Now, it’s too high for me to reach. I’m about a meter and a half maybe. I know that I’m five foot one, but I’m about a meter and a half. That looks to me like it might be close to about four meters, give or take. A little three and a bit of me. You have got plenty of options to do something under here if you wanted to.
Now, we have access under the house. There’s a little door just here so you can get in and you can see any plumbing or any electrical stuff. Easy to inspect, concrete. We’ve got outdoor laundry, but this is brilliant. It’s like an extra shower room that you could use if you wanted to build in here. It’s simple, but it’s big enough. You got bathroom as in a flushing toilet but being used as storage, but we have got concrete again.
Concrete stone and tin and that’s roughly about 10 meters-ish that way. From here, that’s roughly about eight meters-ish. Of course, then we’ve got that four meters, I think, that would be high. Again, plenty of options, plenty of opportunity to have a workshop or just store bikes. Obviously, a motorhome would fit in here which would be just brilliant. That’s always a problem with people if they have motorhomes or big caravans.
There’s nowhere to put it. Here, easy option, and then we drive out onto the second. Remember, I said, we’ve got that drive round driveway. We started up there at the front and then it comes around and you can leave that side really super easily. It is mega functional. Let’s have a quick look at that driveway and then we’re going to go upstairs for a bit of a wrap-up.

Angela: Before we do that little baby wrap-up, I just wanted to show you a little bit of the garden. It’s low-maintenance. It’s easy care. Over the other side where we looked at the living room sliding windows, there’s actually a really big dog fenced area. If you do have little dogs or animals, it’s completely safe. That smells amazing. The owners have got all these beautiful flowering trees. They have got all the scented trees and shrubs all over the property.
You can just imagine sitting on that balcony again at night and the air is just filled with orange blossom. We very briefly looked at this area here when we came in at the beginning. It’s just again to see that if you do have another motorhome or you have a caravan or a shipping container, you have got plenty of space over there to put it. Now, we’re going to do a wrap-up.
