Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin. Welcome on this beautiful sparkling morning to 10 Penny Close in Kuranda. If you have been searching and striving and looking for ages for a character-filled house where you don’t have to spend money, time, effort or energy, this could be for you. It’s been beautifully renovated and the location is stunning. We have North through road cul de sac. We are only five minutes Kuranda Village. We’re on about an acre of beautiful tropical gardens.
Now, the house is western red cedar. It has four bedrooms. It has two bathrooms and the sparkliest, beautifuliest, shiniest floors floorboards- wooden floorboards that you’ll have seen in a long time. The key and what I absolutely fell in love with with this property was the master bedroom. Now, what can you get excited about a master bedroom you ask. Wait until we go up and have a look. You imagine downstairs, you’ve got three bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, dining, living, huge, beautiful balconies with views. Well, upstairs the master bedroom is all in the one floor for those stunning views. I know you’re just going to fall in love with this property. Let’s go and have a look.

You’ve just come up the back stairs, the everyday person’s entrance. The actual main door is just of to your right. Again, just a little bit of orientation, we’re in the main living-dining area. Of to your right, we’ve got one bedroom. Then, we’ve got another bedroom in the corner. Then, there’s a two-way bathroom with a separate toilet which is really big. Another bedroom just behind this on the right. Then, we have a really big laundry. Of course, we’ve got the kitchen over here. Let’s come and have a look at the kitchen.
Let’s come into the kitchen. Look at this fabulous entertainment ledge here, this beautiful wood. The kitchen is pretty much brand new. We have this fantastic stand-alone cooker. Now, it’s gas so we have a full gas cooking scenario. Beautiful views out to the garden. As you can see, it’s really really bright. We’ve got a fabulous, great, big space there for the ginormous, big fridge. If we walk in here, we’ve got the biggest walking pantry where you can put all your bits and your bobs. You’re just going to love this kitchen. Go in and have a look.

Let’s walk through from the main living area into the laundry. As I said before, it’s absolutely huge, but we’ll come back and have a look at that in just a minute. Then, we have one of the bedrooms. Again, beautiful views and we have a two-way bathroom through there that is, again, large. Have a look in here. This is the cupboard under the stairs. It’s easily three or four meters long. Have a look at that.

You’ve got that sense of brightness and space through all the bedrooms and of course the two-way bathroom that comes out into the hallway. We’ve still got these stunning views out into the garden from the living area and the balcony, but this is the exciting part. We’re just about to go up into that master bedroom. You’re going to fall in love with this. Let’s go up and have a look.

Oh my goodness. What a master bedroom. You’ve just come up the stairs. We have got fabulous views out that window. You’ve just seen the mountain of views and the sparkly sun and the trees and the gorgeous views out of that window. We’ve also got another window behind that, where we’ve got equally beautiful views. Now, this as I said at the beginning is a whole size of the size. It’s about eight meters wide at the widest point. I think it’s about 14, 15, maybe even 16 meters long.
You could use it as three different areas. You could have it as a studio. You could have it as a reading room. You could have it as a library. You could have all the kids come up here and sleep and stay. Sleepovers. It really does just depend on your imagination, but there’s one thing you can’t get away from and that is the luxury feel of this space. It’s bright. You’ve got this beautiful vaulted ceilings. We do have robes. You get plenty of space to put in all your yummies. Of course, we have got a really big ensuite. Go in and have a look. You are going to fall in love with this area. As you can see, the gardens are absolutely stunning. We’ve got about an acre as I mentioned at the beginning and it’s all fully fenced. Now, we have got oranges dripping off the tree. I might grab that one later. We’ve also got lychee trees. We have got a mango tree. We have got this veggie patch just waiting to be planted out. You could imagine all your herbs and your tomatoes and everything else that you fancy in there. Again, the views on this property are absolutely stunning. Of course, we have got that fabulous lifestyle deck in amongst all those beautiful tropical foliage. Let’s go underneath and have a look at the underside of the house.

As you can see, the gardens are absolutely beautiful, stunning, completely usable. Of course, we’ve come up those lovely wooden stairs which just give it that organicy feel. You could sit on there. You could wiggle your toes. You could have a glass of wine. You could just enjoy being in the garden. This is under the house. It’s really big, concrete steel. I reckon you could get at least four to six- if not, six cars under here. You’ve got plenty of room for all your toys. There is actually space under the house where you could store things. There’s a little bit of a wooden bench just underneath there too that you could do some woodwork or whatever it is you fancy, but you’ve also got that little building, if you like, just up on the corner of the garden that you could use.
