This is just such a beautiful, sparkly day today. That forest just absolutely pops. Now, before we go in at low maintenance, this has only ever been a one-owner property, so it has been lovingly looked after and just immaculately maintained. It’s on a concrete slab, it is steel-framed, it is all metal, and we have fibrous cement sheeting on the outside. If you just want that ultimate “I don’t want to do anything” lifestyle, come home, just sit, read a book, enjoy the environment, walk into the village for coffee, this is it.
Beautiful concrete entrance. As always, there’s a couple of ways that we can actually get into any property. We’ve got the single carport just there, and we’ve got the back door or the laundry door. This is just gorgeous. Look at that, private. 1,000% private. As we walk in, look, I think they’re called little geisha girls. They’re just beautiful fragrance and such a lovely, lovely entry.
These louvres here are metal, and they open and they close, so you can get as much ventilation or protection from the elements as you want. Oh, breezy today. We’ve actually just had the door there that’s closed, and we come into this amazing, just– it’s a lifestyle balcony. It’s absolutely beautiful lifestyle balcony. You can imagine just sitting here all day, every day looking at that. This is what this property is all about as I said, say it 100 times. You would not believe that we’re only five minutes into Kuranda village. We’ve got 100% privacy, relaxation, beautiful rainforest, birds, butterflies galore, and this is where you live.
We’ve got double doors here, absolutely beautiful, nice wooden doors, and look at the view. I don’t know if you can see that with the light. There’s just no one looking in. It’s just fabulous. We’ve got a very, very spacious two-bedroom, one-bathroom home with two toilets, which is always super convenient, and the natural light just floods in. You can see we’ve got some full air conditioning up here. Your doors and your windows are going to be open pretty much all year round anyway, but it is there if you want it to be.
Magic big kitchen. Now, if I’m standing here and I’m washing and doing what I do, this just feels open. Again, it’s awe-inspiring. It’s actually inspirational being in this property because you have just got rainforests and tree ferns and everything natural around about you. Just feels– appeases the soul. Absolutely gorgeous. Totally serviceable kitchen, clean, tidy, plenty of bench space, plenty of cupboards. We’ve got a gas cooktop here. We’ve got a chef electric oven, and of course, a range hood and plenty of room for a really big fridge if you want to.
Look at this. You’re standing here and you’re doing your prep and you’re chopping and your little bits and your bobs, chatting to your friends, friends chatting to you. Have a look. That is priceless. It is absolutely priceless. Just beautiful private. Then on this side, we have got another couple of bedrooms which we’ll have a look at. Now, a couple of mirrors here, so I’ll probably do my little lippy as we go by.
Before we go over here, this was the other entrance. Maybe come out this way and then we’ll come back into the bedrooms. I’m sorry for lights going in and out. It’s a very bright day today. This is where we came in at the beginning. This would be where you come in and you pop your car and this is where you probably bring in all your shopping and anything else that you want to bring home. Spacious. Plenty of space there for all your laundry bits.
This is a second loo. Just pop your head in there. Then we’ve got our bedroom just here, which is just a lovely room again with natural light. One thing that you will notice is that, in this bedroom and also in the other bedroom, we don’t necessarily have any doors just for that ventilation for your robes. You can put cotton up there or you can put doors in if you want. Living in the wet tropics, lots of natural ventilation is brilliant. We have got our main bathroom, big bathroom. Got a bath, a little shower here, easy jump in and out. Lovely vanity, clean vanity, love the loo seat, nice and wooden. Just makes it feel, again, organic. Lovely wooden doors, wooden frames. Then this is the main bedroom. I love this.
Look, just come in here. I’m going to close this door a little bit so you can see. It’s just got plenty of character. This can obviously be closed off from the living room. That door can be closed off from the hallway, but these louvres, look at that, look at that. That’s lovely. Just gives it that nice, “I’m in my own little space.” Now that’s a big bed and we still have plenty of room to walk around. We’ll just do a little swap over here so you can see.
This is where we came in. That’s our lockable front door if you like, maybe open pretty much all year round, and of course, we’ve got our robes here again. Have a look in here, where you can just hang up your bits or put in the wire basket shelving that everyone seems to put in. Plenty of storage because it also goes all the way up to the ceiling. Fans, nice natural light, and again simple living back out into this wonderful living space.

I’ve got pawpaws actually dangling off a pawpaw tree. If you could just come and just sit here just for one second, I just want you to feel what it’s like to just– come and sit down, have a cup of tea– what this fabulous view is. It’s all about the view. It’s all about the relaxation, the rainforest, literally the birds and the butterflies with all the native plants around about. You’re going to have wallabies. You are just going to be surrounded by nature. Of course, if we have a look over here, we’ve got this amazing lipstick palm. Then if we just come up here, I just want you to sit down over here with me so that maybe you can just sit on this lovely chair just here, just sit your little body down there. Lets just for one minute just look out and have a look at what this view would actually be.
You could be standing here chatting with people, you’ve got the breeze coming through, your louvre, your metal louvre, your little maintenance metal louvres, and you’re just looking at that with another pawpaw tree. It is just totally priceless. We’re just going to have a very quick wander around the garden, and then we’re going to come back and do a bit of a quick wrap-up.

I’m just seriously in love with that balcony. That is just sensational. Look at that pawpaw tree. It’s just dangling with pawpaws. We said about the 1.75, approximately, so it’s 7,100 square metres off rainforest garden. Now, what we see here is pretty much the usable part. Your 1.75 acres is buying you privacy. It’s buying you nature. It’s buying you all the little animals that live in the trees, all the little animals that live around about the forest. You can put in fruit trees if you wanted to. We’ll just come down over here.
You could put in veggie patch, you could put in greenhouse. You can even put in a shed if you want to, all of course subject to council approval, but there is space to do really whatever you want to do. It’s the sort of property that you just want to enjoy and be at one with nature. If we have a look up here, we can see the house in the background. Then if we have a look down over here, we’ve actually got stepped gabion walls. This is going to look after itself. You don’t have to worry about cutting the grass. You can see the walls all the way down, and then we’ve actually got a creek at the very bottom of the garden. I haven’t been down there, but the creek is down there somewhere in amongst all this gloriousness.
Look at this. Look at this tree fern. I don’t know how long it’s been there but it’s been there for a very, very, very long time. Absolutely beautiful. Just take it in and I’m going to meet you back up there, and we’re just going to do a quick wrap-up.
[music]
We’ve also got this wonderful little garden shed that– you don’t need very much in your garden shed because your garden is a shed apart from the grass. Will pretty much look after itself. We’ve got a little lock-up area here. Probably a little 3 x 2 maybe, and there you go. Space for your little ride-on lawnmower. This is screen, it’s lush. This is the side area there on the balcony that we were seeing when we were looking out, and that’s a little bit of the gabion walls that are just absolutely gorgeous. They’re organic.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this fabulous little tour of number 1 Veivers Street in Kuranda, and hopefully, you have gotten a sense of the peace, the quiet, the sense of isolation, even though, oh my goodness, you are literally, and I mean literally a five-minute doddle as in like just a little stroll into Kuranda Village where you can have your breakfast, you can have your morning coffee with your friends, you’ve got the post office, you’ve got IGA.
If you’re an investor, law maintenance, absolutely fabulous. All steel framed, concrete, don’t even have to think about it. If you are a downsizer, you can just put away in the garden, and if you’re a first home buyer, absolutely perfect, perfect investment. Of course, look at all this. I didn’t even see these when we came in the last time. We’ve got dragon fruit, beautiful, beautiful dragon fruit coming off the trees, and of course, just gorgeous plants everywhere we look.
Bright, open, sunny, and 1.75 unprecedented beautiful rainforest acres close to the heart of the village.
