Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to number one Gregory Terrace in Kuranda. We are at the top of the range estate, super duper popular and very pretty part of the world. We have the most amazing Pole home, it’s on three levels we have about one acre, you’re going to fall in love with this property, let’s go in and have a look.

We’ve just come up the main stairs, and as I mentioned, the property is actually on three different levels. We’ve come up into the main living area, I’m just going to do a little bit of orientation. Behind us, we’ve got the kitchen, magic beautiful balcony overlooking the gardens, and we’ve got a bedroom and a bathroom. Downstairs, we have got another bedroom and a laundry with a toilet so perfect for Air B&B; or teenagers retreat, and of course upstairs, the most fantastic two bedroom, bathroom and a living area, but let’s go and have a look at the kitchen.
We all know that I love kitchens and this one really is organic, we’ve got a stainless steel bench top in the middle which doesn’t come with the property, but it really does just give you that country comfy feel. We’ve got lovely wooden bench tops, complete gas cooking, and one of the things that you might have noticed is behind us is the western red cedar fly screen doors and are actually on every single one of the windows and they were a later addition, but just add such a lovely warmth to the whole feel. Let’s have a look out onto the balcony which overlooks the garden.

You can just imagine when you’ve finished cooking your lovely little dinner sitting out here overlooking the garden and listening to that tropical sound of a waterfall in a beautiful serene pool. Now what we’re going to do is we’re going to go back into the main area we’ll have a quick look at the bedroom in the bathroom and then we’re going to head upstairs and look at that fabulous second or third living area it’s just to die for.

Weren’t those open stairs just really lovely, I don’t know if you can see, but the stairs on this level up to the top level and also the bottom level onto the middle level all have that lovely wooden open airy feel, but they do look really special. They’re just not like normal stairs. I know that sounds a bit odd, but it’s just the little things and the attention to detail that makes such a difference.
Now, how big a space is this? We’ve come up into what could be just a really big studio a really big living area and then over here we’ve got a bedroom and then we have another second bedroom here which is being used as a sewing room and a really big bathroom. The bathroom’s got sliding doors in it so again in pole homes, you often don’t have much cupboard space, but here there is ample. Let’s go for a wander it really is special.

Isn’t this a magic great big space? We’re going to head down to the bottom level now so we go down the set of stairs pass by the living area that we came up in initially and then right down to the very bottom. Let’s go down and have a look.

I did mention about the Air B&B, or the separate living area now when we came down the two sets of stairs, we’ve come out this particular door, but this bedroom actually has its own separate entrance if you like. When we came in here we’ve got your own bedroom and the laundry with the bathroom could easily be converted into something that as I said you could rent out or family your friends, but nice little addition to the family. Under here, we’ve got plenty of room for cars, we’ve also got the sheds that we’ll look at shortly, but we’re going to have a look at the swimming pool it’s less than two years old and it’s heated, let’s go and have a look.

Isn’t this garden just glorious? Come on in and as I mentioned, the swimming pool is less than two years old and it is heated so you put a heating blanket or you just put a little blanket on top keeps it all lovely and warm this time of year it’s still getting a bit hot so you probably don’t need it, but it is absolutely glorious, and again I mentioned about that lovely little waterfall it just adds to the whole relaxation, the whole property.

We’ve got two entrances into the pool this way which is at the side of the house and the other one which was at the front of the property. Now again orientation this was the other entrance for the downstairs living so that’s the laundry with the toilet in there going through into the carport, and this up here is the gorgeous little kitchen deck. Now, property, as I said, is about 4,000 square meters, it is fully fenced and I’m not sure if you noticed, but we actually had air conditioning on the very top level and the main living area. Again, we’re living in the tropics, it’s pretty hot day today, and it really is a lovely luxury feel. If we have a look back at the house, it has been fully painted inside and out, so it really is super duper fresh, but we’re going to have a look at these two massive sheds, and we’re going to second the entrance down there, just for convenience.

I just noticed that we’ve got heaps of pawpaw fruit on the pawpaw tree. How magnificent is that? You’ve got your own set of bananas, I don’t know if bananas come in sets, but you’ve got lots of them, however they come. Actually bunches, that’s it, you get bunches of bananas. Now, the shed, we’ve got 2, 8 by 4 and 12 by 4 not much to see other than its storage, but it has power and water and it’s on a concrete slab. This, if you have a boat or a motorhome, as you can see here, is absolutely fabulously functional. It’s about 3.6 meters high, so even if you do have something that’s really, really tall, and that’s a great example, you’re not going to have any struggles.
Car, accommodation, plenty here if you don’t have a motorhome, you’ve got three or four cars that you can actually get under the house and, as I said, we’ve got two entrances. This one here which is not the main entrance, but we’ve got the main one at the top and obviously second entrance. Beautiful turf, the gardens are just glorious, this really is a beautiful feeling property.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this wonderful tour of number one Gregory Terrace in Kuranda, top-of-the-range estate. If we can just do a little bit of a recap and, again, there’s a lot to recap, the house is like a little Swiss Chalet. Three levels, plenty of space, plenty of opportunity for the extended family or for Airbnb. We’re on 4,100 square meters which is just about an acre, it’s fully fenced, we have two driveways just for severe convenience. The house, again, up here has been fully painted inside and out, and we have a resort type swimming pool just off to the side.
Air conditioning, eight beautiful western red cedar fly doors, plenty car accommodation, beautiful soft springy green grass just to run around. It really does have everything, and of course, we’ve got sheds and space big enough for even the biggest motorhome, but this really is just beautiful. It’s rainforest deep, but it still has plenty of natural light, you’ve got elevation, you’ve got breeze, you’ve just got everything you would want in a lifestyle property.
