Angela Martin: Hi, I’m Angela Martin and welcome to a glorious day at number 14 Barron Street in Koah. This is the Clohesy River, and it is literally about two minutes, not even two minutes, from your gorgeous little two-bedroom, two-bathroom low-maintenance property. You already know the locations are fabulous. Imagine in the morning having this to energize you or your very own personal swimming pool. Absolutely beautiful.
Little house, just two minutes up here. We’re just going to head up and then going to have a good old explorer. Angela: How fabulous was that river? You literally, genuinely can jump in and swim, and as I just said, it’s cheaper than maintaining your own little swimming pool in the garden. Now, this is a gem, as I did say, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, super low maintenance. It’s an original, steel, steel, steel house and in original condition.
Before I take us through and have a look, I just want you to think in your head we can just move in. We can love it, and we can relax because we’re on half an acre that is fully fenced, or there would absolutely be enough money left in the kitty to modernize it if you wanted to. Of course, we’ve got two separate little pods. One’s the one-bedroom main living area, and then we’ve got a separate one-bedroom bathroom out the back.
Private, we’re already private. We’ve seen ourselves coming in the gate just that from that Clohesy River which is absolutely terrific. It takes us into– Look at this. This is gorgeous. We have the biggest undercover area. The balcony, as we’ve seen when we came up here, is on three sides. This is where you’re going to live. We’re obviously going to go inside. Of course, we’re going to have a look, but look at how shaded it is.
Again, you can see that little maintenance. We’ve just got the corrugated iron. We’ve got steel poles and concrete. The whole house is concrete. Again, you can just relax. Take that in, and we’re going to head in that way. We’re going to have a good old wander through the house.

Angela: These lovely doors, they were open when we just had a bit of a look, but they really are just nice. There’s two of them, two lovely wooden doors and fly screens, so we can have them open, air conditioner, fantastic. Look at the size of this living space. Rooms are just rooms. I say we’ve got two bedrooms, two bathrooms, but there is enough space that you could probably add on and keep an enclosed part of your balcony or veranda if you needed another little indoor-outdoor space.
This, just going to do a quick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, roughly 6 meters. This way we’ve got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and a bit. You could get the biggest of lounge suites in here and the biggest of tellies, so high ceilings as well. You just have that feeling of space. We’ve got entrance door here. Well, there’s doors. We’ve got another door here that comes off the balcony and another access door there, so you can get out onto that U-shape.
This is a big bedroom, but we’ll have a look at the kitchen. As I said, it’s an original kitchen. Totally, totally serviceable. The bench tops are big, no problem with them. Stainless steel here. Even in modern homes, you probably don’t have enough room for a fridge, but that [chuckles] we’ve got– that’s more than a meter for your fridge. The really brilliant thing is this thing takes us– and look at all this cupboard space. As I said, you could live and just enjoy it, or you could put a Bunnings kitchen for $5,000 or something or just– it’s easy, super easy.
More space again. Probably a little office nook, but because you’ve got access and entrance into the living room, three different ways, this could be a separate room. Super easy. We’ve got a server here, that’s lovely. We’ve got regular– that’s very nice, organic wood. This could be closed. This is another little room. Then big– and I mean big. Everything about this one bedroom part of the house here is big, lovely.
Look at that. They are silky oak. Everyone knows I love silky oak, have a fascination for it. Bit of a fetish with silky oak. Really expensive, and you can’t even buy it now. Laundry area, sink. Plenty of space. We’ve got a tub there, room for our washing machine, dryer, and then again a big bathroom. It makes sense that you come in, you take your clothes off. You can throw them in your laundry basket, and you can jump into the shower.
Again, if you’ve been out in the garden, that’s nice, easy access into here. Plenty of cupboards. We’ve got little– it’s not actually little. It’s actually a big shower. Big shower rose in there. Then just pop your little head round here. We’ve got a separate toilet, this little functional loo, and cupboards. There we go. Plenty of cupboards. Little power box in there.
You’ve got all your access to your safety switches or whatever it is you want to access your power box for, but that’s where it is. People always ask me, “Angela, where’s power box?” Again, look at this. There’s no cracks in this. It all works. It’s all wipeable. It’s all usable. It’s original. Probably just a little bit of something. Just like I said, you can modernize it or not. I personally think it’s got a lot of charm.
Just take that in from here to there, and I’m going to meet you outside. We’re going to look at the other one bedroom, one bathroom, little pod. As always, before we go out and look at that gorgeous little pod, we forgot to look at the bedroom. Let’s come back in this way. It’s almost like an en suite. We’ve got nice easy access from the living room into here. Again this is not a small room. One, two, three and a bit.
We’ve got one, two, three, four roughly, roughly five. Of course, we’ve got some robes there that we can put our stuff in. Now, we are going to head out and look at that little baby pod.
[music]
Angela: This is just absolutely brilliant. We have that great big long balcony that we’ve seen. This is just a fabulous little barby area, and of course– oh, look at that. Just look at these beautiful, beautiful tropical feel. Hopefully, you’re getting the sense of we have got plenty of protection from the sun and a bit of balconies in the house. Then we go out into the gardens, and it is bright and open and sparkly. We have again the best of both worlds.
We are heading to that little pod, and that’s a little barby spot. But before we do, I just wanted to show you this bit here. You got all this extra bit of garden. We’ll see the garden in just a minute, but look at that. Fabulous. Again, this is part of the screen that we’ll just shade you from this glorious sun. Had to imagine that we are in the wet tropics, beautiful, and probably at least 35 degrees today, absolutely sensational.
Now, this is out the back of the house. We can see we’ve got a gas hot water here, but this is brilliant. Oh, rainwater tank, roughly 23,000-ish liters. Nice grass tree, grevillea, so you’re going to get all your little birds and all your yummies, just honey eaters coming in nibbling away. Bit separate living, so if you had two parts of the family or you just have people who come visit you or you just wanted to maybe rent out a little bit of extra income, it’s totally separate living.
Again, if you have a lookup here, we have got roof, plenty of space, tickle with paint, who cares, paint’s nothing. Then into, again, this other nice big room, so we’ve got one, two, three, four roughly. Come on in. I’ve got a nice mirror in just here, and I’ll just do here. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four, five, six, roughly six.
Now, our own little en suite. It’s just a little baby mirror, so you can do your little lippy and stuff in the morning. Just bring your head in here, we’ve got a perfectly big shower. Come in in here, have a look. We have got perfectly– actually, I love these tiles. They’re like a gray and a pink. Then we’ve got the pink or the peach and the black and again this sort of peach color grate. You can love it or not. You can change it or not, but it works, and that is all that actually matters.
We’ve got some shade cloth out there just trying to protect again from the sun. If we come out here, we have got little boxed air conditioner, but it’s self-contained. It’s separate living. The main house, you’re going to be living on your balcony, looking sideways or towards the front. Then out here, if you did want to have someone here with the privacy, you just put a little bit more of the crisscross lattice. You got fabulous, fabulous entertaining or just relaxation.
[music]
Angela: There’s little baby– look at this look. Look, look, the little honey– there’s the little plants– not the little plants, the little birds, they just love grevillea, and they are native. But this garden is a joyous– oh, look, look, look, look, look. Look at that. Where on earth that you going to find something like that? As I mentioned too, we’re about half an acre which is fully fenced all the way along there, all the way along the back, and all the way along the other side of the balcony on the house.
Look at this, we have plenty, plenty, plenty of space for chickens, veggies, for putting in fruit trees, and I love that. We’re going to have a bit of a quick look around inside there. You can make of it what you will, but it feels fabulous. I think that’s turmeric, just here. Absolutely brilliant, but if we just turn around and we just look at what we’ve got, plenty of opportunity.
This property is all about the flexibility. We’re going to have a quick lookup here. That just looks sensational. I’m just going to get you to pop your head up around there, so you can see the other side, and then we’re going to do a bit of a quick wrap-up.
[music]
Angela: Again, there’s potential for all these fruit trees. Now, this is– again, it’s all steel, so this just needs your shade cloth. You can put all your little veggies in there. You can just resurrect it for your life and little caged area in here that you can probably put chickens. I’m not going to open it and go in, but you absolutely could. Or again, you could just use it for your veggies, but this feels organic.
You’re on half an acre. As I said, you’re fully fenced. You feel like you’re in your own little world. You are just a hop step and jump to the Clohesy River for having access to your own private swimming pool. Open, bright, sunny so you don’t have dark damp days. All the bits around about the house, you can just sit outside, and you can relax. It is the ultimate package.
As I said before, I’m going to say it again, this is phenomenal value for money, so you would be guaranteed to have dollars left in the bank to do whatever little cosmetics you wanted if you wanted to, but you don’t have to. It’s a sparkly lifestyle property. I love that. That is absolutely terrific. Give me a call, Angela Martin, 0403-788-187, or visit the website, angelamartin.tv.
